This is a replacement oven control board manufactured by Bosch. The oven control board is the oven's brain and handles all the functions. It also includes the display and provides users with the ability to control functionality, like bake and broil, setting timers, and more. While the oven control board does not include moving parts, heat and moisture can damage soldered components and lead to failure. Signs that the control board may need to be replaced include lack of information on the display, inability to control specific functions, or complete lack of operability. Note that this part is often misdiagnosed, so make sure to check the old board's operability with a multimeter before replacing it. To replace the oven control board, first remove the exterior cowling. Locate the wiring harness and disconnect it before removing the mounting screws. Install the replacement part following these steps in reverse. This genuine OEM part is sold individually. It only fits Bosch Thermador ovens.

Kim, It appears that the voltages are off and the control board will be the issue with the unit.

Kim, Remove the connector on X2 and test pin 1, 4, 6, 8 to ground. Pin 1 should show 1.5 VDC, Pin 4 should show 5 VDC, Pin 6 would be 8 VDC, and pin 8 would be 32VDC. If you have proper voltage then the display will be the issue and if there is not proper voltage then the issue will be with the control board. You do not need to replace both to get the unit working.

Kim, based on the information provided, the failure would likely be caused by the wiring as the sensor and controls have been replaced to end in the same failure. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the harness as a replaceable part.

Scott, It's going to take a little more than a "novice who can handle a screwdriver." You'll most likely need the 00653424/ 00653424 Module(user interface) Remove the control panel back plate and the lower rear panel of the range and check the X2 and X3 wires and connectors between the main relay board on the back of the range and the user interface module inside the control panel. If all's OK, replace the module. Remove the knob: It is a tight fit, wrap some tape around the knob & pull gently on the ends to remove. Remove the locknut Remove upper rear access panel, remove connector from board, remove the 6 screws holding the board. Reassemble new board in reverse order after checking the board configuration.(click on the AP number inside the brackets [ ] the system will automatically take you to the parts order screen with the cost of the part, etc.you can also process the part(s) order from the same screen. Thanks,

Kyle, the burner knobs would need to be removed and this should allow the control panel to rotate out. If necessary, opening the cooktop panel can help to make the control panel removal easier.

Hello Kyle, using a multimeter access the user interface board and locate the X2 connector pins 1-8, set meter to dc scale and put one lead to ground, Pin 1 1.5vdc, Pin 4 5vdc, Pin 6 8vdc, Pin 8 32vdc, if no voltages present you can do the same test at the rear-mounted power relay board at connector x3.

Robert, this would certainly indicate an issue with the control itself. The control you would want to use is part number 00676931.
