E-Man November 14, 2017 for Model Number Bosch WFMC3301UC/12 Hi, I ran the diagnostics on my washing machine, and I am getting an error code D:08 when I run test P04. When I look this up, the error code is for "Motor Speed Sensor Failed." Is the motor speed sensor an independent part or is it integral to the motor assembly? Or is it part of the control board? I haven't been able to find a part number for the motor speed sensor, so I suspect it is part of some other assembly. Thanks!
1 Answer E-man, The speed sensor would be part of the motor assembly which is part number 00660487. Read More...
Micah October 25, 2017 for Model Number WFMC3301UC My washer runs the cycle all the way thru. The water fills and drains. The motor never spins. I tested the motor and I get 3.2 ohms on all 3 and no body short. What else could cause the motor not to engage? How can I test for power at the motor? Is there a switch or sensor that could be out somewhere else?
1 Answer Hello Micah, This is most likely a problem with the motor control board. For a more specific diagnosis with the part number for the motor control board, please post a new question that includes the complete model number, including the numbers following the "/". Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Don October 14, 2017 for Model Number 00660487 I got this motor out of a bosch washer and wish to wire it for other use, the control board shows 2 capacitors 1000uf 200v. Do I need both of them or what size will work?
1 Answer Don, If the control is showing the 2 capacitors for this motor then you will need to get the capacitors. Read More...
Martin August 19, 2016 for Model Number Bosch Washing Machine Drive Motor 00660487 Can the brushes be inspected/replaced on this motor? I have it pulled out and cannot figure out the next step. Is it a sealed unit which may need to be replaced?
1 Answer Martin, Unfortunately the motor is a "sealed" unit and cannot be dismantled to test any of the internal components. You can test the motor winding's and the winding's for a short to ground, and or an "open" winding " Look on the motor connector after you pull it out. There are 5 terminals with blue wires. Numbered from 1-5 there is a locator's tab between # 1 and 2. Another tab between 3 & 4. The motor terminals are named from 1-8. # 1-3 are not used. # 4 & 5 are green ground or motor frame ground so you are left with # 6,7 and 8 motor terminals. Which correspond to the units wiring harness # 3-4 & 5 blue wires. Look at the unit supplied wiring diagram inside the cabinet and you will see exactly what is laid out. Measuring the motor terminals # 6 and 7 ohms value. Then measure # 7 and 8 value. Then measure terminal # 6 and 8 terminals. Then measure every terminal separate to the motor frame ground or to terminal 4-or 5 (ground). This checks that particular winding for a shorted winding. These winding's value should be all within 10% tolerance value's". You didn't mention a problem, so if the motor tests OK, you'll need to move to the next possible issue. Read More...
Techsmart November 12, 2012 for Model Number WFMC3301UC-09 Hi. I was wondering what pins to check on the replacement motor for this washer, bosch part 660487. It has five pins, and a ground on the case. Two red wires, one grey, one white, and one brown. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hi. Find the supplied tech sheet inside the init folded in a separate packet. Look at the motor connection diagram and follow the motor pins # 6-8. Testing all 3 will find the motor measurements to be from 1.8-2.1 ohms +/- 10%. Also check to see if any one terminal (motor winding) is grounded against the motor frame itself. If so replace the motor part # 00660487. Thank You. Read More...
Jessie October 30, 2012 for Model Number Bosch 500 Nexxt Washing Machine WFMC5301UC/15 I am trying to determine if the motor on my Bosch 500 series washing machine works or not. The machine will not agitate/spin. I pulled the motor and tried to test the pins with a multimeter. I read an earlier posting about doing this: "Answer Hello Gizmo. Test for 2.1 ohms across 8-7, 6-7, and 6-8 on the motor. If the motor test bad, you will need to replace the motor 660487." The motor I pulled has 5 wide pins...I am not sure what 8-7, 6-7, and 6-8 refers too?

Alicia April 08, 2012 for Model Number WFMC3301UC/06/FD8707/902993 My machine will not drain out the water. The wash/agitate works, but when the machine is supposed to drain the water I hear no sound, and then get an error message. There is a faint burnt smell in my washroom too. Can you please tell me what I need to do? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Alicia. The most likely problem will be that you have either a stopped up drain pump ,or a bad drain pump AP3764202 I would try to clean the pump out first, I'm sending you the service file to help you further. Read More...
Gizmo November 27, 2011 for Model Number WFMC5301UC/15 My washer doesn't Wash/Agitate or Spin (Belt is fine & cleaned out Pump Filter). Therefore, I need to know which Terminal Pin's to check for AC/DC Voltage and Continuty/Ohm's on the Drive Motor (AP3962660)? I have a Service/Repair Manual but it doesn't give details regarding the above question. Also, do you have the carbon brush for this motor?
1 Answer Hello Gizmo. Test for 2.1 ohms across 8-7, 6-7, and 6-8 on the motor. If the motor test bad, you will need to replace the motor 00660487. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
