Brian August 08, 2013 for Model Number PGR486GLZS I replaced the main PC board from kit 709786. NOW main oven works again but small oven does not. It came with a very small pc board with relays on it and I did not see where in directions if it was needed. ALSO kit had me install a jumper and wants me to cut wires from it but I was not sure enough to do this. Could this be why small oven does not work now?
1 Answer Hello Brian, The jumper has several jumpers for different models. The model you are working on determines which jumper gets cut. If none are cut, none of the models will work. The small board should be changed out also because the new board is not compatible with the old board since this is a re-design by the manufacturer. Read More...
Mikhail March 12, 2013 for Model Number PG486GEBLP/11 The ovens on the range stopped working. No light no ignition. The top burners still work. I do not get any blinking lights to get a code. Based on this I am thinking it is the PC Board/Control Board. I took the board out and it looks like there is a lot of black around the control transformer (burned) and lots of white oxidation. I was not able to locate the part number on the board. Can you confirm my suspicion and what is the part number. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Mikhail, I would check the high temperature cutout 00487206 first. If you reset it and the unit operates again, it is up to you whether to change the control relay board 00709786. While it is normal on many of these controls to have dis-coloration due to heat, if it causes a solder connection to lose continuity it can completely shut the unit down. Read More...
Luxury H.M. January 18, 2012 for Model Number PG486GEBS/08 The igniter in the larger oven is not generating a spark and will not ignite the burner, gas is present. I have replace the igniter. I was told the control board was the concern. If that is the case how involved is it to change out and what part or parts will I need? Thanks
1 Answer Hi Luxury. Do you have a 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" spark ignition on your unit. It is encased in black and is a molded board. Mounted in gray casing ? It is part # 00618624. There is a white igniter control for the top igniters that is part # 00645446. The oven igniter will read between 45 and 400 ohms cold. Follow where the igniter wires go and the spark module should be there 00618624. Let us know how to assist. you further. Thank You. Read More...
