Manufacturer Part Number: 00663802

The Relay is an OEM component specifically designed for select Bosch built-in ovens. As a basic electronic switch, it receives signals from the control unit to energize heating elements.

Durable plastic encapsulation protects delicate components from accidental spills. Precise switching facilitates customized baking and broiling temperatures within close tolerances.

Causes signaling relay failure related to prolonged thermal stresses from consistent oven use. Impacts of electric abnormalities could also cause malfunctions over time.

Symptoms requiring replacement include:

  • Inability to power top or bottom heating elements during cycles
  • Erratic temperature fluctuations beyond adjustment capabilities
  • Buzzing or loud clicking noises emitting from the relay housing

This OEM Bosch replacement part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and select Kenmore built-in ovens employing identical temperature modulation methods. Reinstallation ensures continued customizable and safe cycle performance.

Questions & Answers

For Bosch Relay (Part Number: OEM12225120)

1 Answer

Peter, the display 00703850 would need to be tested for 9.6VDC from pin 1 to pin 3 during the time of failure. If the display is flashing and voltage has not fluctuated, the display control would need to be replaced. If the voltage fluctuates when the display resets, the control module 12022214 would need to be replaced. It is likely that the failure is in the control module causing both failures. However, there is a small chance the display could be sending an improper signal to the module when it resets, causing the temporary oven operation.

Kiva, If the temperature keeps rising then this will most likely be a faulty relay on the control board. The control board part number is 00655358.

My Bosch electric wall oven will begin to heat up but it never reaches the correct temperature, it's always about 30 degrees lower when it says it's reached the set temp. It then slowly drops off and will try to maintain heat but loses it over time. You can hear it cycling on, but not for very long. When we turn on the broiler it never gets up to the full temperature and also seems to drop lower over time. I've replaced the sensor and heating element, what's next?

Kerri for Model Number HBL345OVC/08

My Bosch Oven HBL345OVC/08 is stuck on broil, no matter what setting I use. The first time I caught it the oven had been pre-heating for awhile and I was distracted and didn't catch the error code. I haven't been able to get it back. However, in testing, it seems to stay in broil mode no matter what oven setting is set. Seems like the relay needs to be replaced from what information I've been able to gather. I would like to confirm this and get part number.

Both upper and bottom oven are not working. See 4 bars on the top left. Have no clue what is the problem. As recommended by appliancepartpros, I ordered and replaced the control and relay boards. But it still doesn’t work. After I set the clock, things seem to work. However, the clock reset over night. Right now, to use the oven I have to set the clock first. Anyway, what cause the clock to reset by itself? Perhaps, the relay and control boards were not the problem.

Korry, It would be recommended to check to make sure that you do not have a loose power supply connection as this would cause the unit to reset overnight.

Brandon, the error E118 is indicating that there is a hall sensor failure in the cooling fan. With access to the control module 12022213, the sensor would be tested for voltage at the cooling fan connection from the black wire to the white wire while the unit is operating. If the voltage is 1.7VDC, the fan is operating properly and the module would need to be replaced. If the voltage is not 1.7VDC, the cooling fan 00643600 would need to be replaced. This would need to be done for both the upper and lower fans.

Andy, Yes, the problem is more likely a failed bake relay on the 12022213/12022213 Control module. You would want to check to make sure there are no loose or broken wires between the relay board and element. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks,
