John Williams April 30, 2018 for Model Number WFXD8400UC/01 My Siemens (Bosch today) washer produces violent banging noises when going onto the spin faze. When running empty (testing) there are no issues. The bearing seems quite, too. I opened the top cover and pushed the drum by hand downwards few times, noticed the it had some bounce effect like car with bad shocks. So, the question is how I can diagnose the suspension? How to test the two springs? They look solid. Is the bounce effect caused by the potentially worn out shocks? Thank you in advance
1 Answer John, When you push down on the drum is should bounce back up but if it continues to bounce then this would likely be shock issue. It sounds likely that there could be a issue with the spider of the inner tub. It could be damaged and causing the banging noise. Read More...
Don December 15, 2015 for Model Number wfmc3200uc/01 Is it normal for the two bottom shocks to have no resistance at all? I can take them both and they freely move up and down with zero resistance. Thanks.
