The Cabinet Side Seals are an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. These seals are located along the sides of the dishwasher cabinet and play a crucial role in preventing water leaks and maintaining an airtight seal during operation.

Causes of a bad seal can include general wear and tear over time, exposure to high temperatures or moisture, or damage from mishandling or improper installation.

Symptoms of a bad Cabinet Side Seal include:

  • Water leaks or moisture buildup around the sides of the dishwasher
  • Difficulty closing the dishwasher door properly
  • Decreased efficiency in drying performance
  • Potential for water damage to surrounding areas

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

For Bosch Cabinet Side Seals (Part Number: OEM16824780)

Scott for Model Number SHU43C05UC/22

Hi, I purchased the side strip kit P/N AP5608257 (Bosch P/N 740617) for my Bosch dishwasher M/N SHU43C05UC/22. Comparing them to the originals they are clearly about 4-5 inches too short. The originals step down in thickness twice, once at the bottom of the door and again at the kick plate. The replacements only step down once at the bottom of the door and do not extend down to the kick plate. Your web page clearly shows these as the correct replacements. What gives??

Scott, This strip trim kit would be correct according to the manufacturer and would most likely be a design change from the manufacturer.

I need to replace the black vertical strip on the right side of the dishwasher that runs from where the unit attaches to the cabinet the bottom of the unit. It fills the gap between the dishwasher and the cabinet. The original has been damaged and is no longer functional. I cannot close the door properly. Is AP5608257 (the strip) the correct replacement part number? Please confirm if this is accurate of provide me with the correct part number. Thank you.

There is a black vertical strip along the right side of the dishwasher that appears to be a secondary door seal and is also fills the gap between the dishwasher and cabinet. The top 3-4 inches of this hard plastic piece has deteriorated and is crumbling. It appears to be item # 3 in your diagram. There is a similar black strip along the top of the appliance that butts up to the right hand strip which is also crumbling in that same top, right corner. I do not, however, see a replacement part number assigned to that piece. I'd like to get both parts (the left vertical strip is fine). Please advise on the proper part numbers of these two seal parts. Thanks!

Joan, the strip piece you are asking about is a door gasket. Without a model number we wouldn't be able to answer your question accurately, thanks!
