1 Answer Valet Driver, while the switches work together, they do not have the same job. The primary switch 00617228 allows voltage to go to the transformer, fan, and turntable. R. Brown October 10, 2020 for Model Number HMV3053U/01 I'm having the same problem described by the DIY stories -- my circuit breaker trips when closing the microwave door. I believe I need to replace the switches and wanted to see how easy it was to get at them but am having difficulty removing the vent. 1 Answer R Brown, You may want to loosen, but do not remove the top mounting bolts at the bottom of the cabinet. Then remove the two screws that secure the vent panel to the front of the microwave. Remove the one screw at the center of the assembly, that secures the control panel assembly to the frame and lower or remove the panel. Label and disconnect the wire leads from the interlock switches. Remove two screws securing the Latch Board. Make necessary replacements and check and readjust the door assembly. Read More...
