The On/Off Switch is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. This switch controls the power to the dishwasher, allowing the user to turn the appliance on and off. It is typically located on the control panel and is essential for initiating and halting the wash cycles.

Causes of a bad On/Off switch can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical malfunctions, or physical damage such as cracks or breaks. When the switch fails, it can prevent the dishwasher from powering on or off correctly, disrupting the appliance's functionality.

Symptoms of a bad On/Off switch include:

  • Dishwasher not turning on
  • Difficulty in turning the dishwasher off
  • The switch feeling loose or unresponsive
  • Flickering power or intermittent operation

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Josephine, What was the original issue ? Were there any lit or flashing LED's on the control panel display ? You will probably want to test the On/Off switch 00620775 on the control panel, and the switches and wires on the 10006917 Lock/Latch assembly. And check the wiring from your previous repair, make sure there weren't any loose connections or connections loosened during the repair.

Sherry, We wouldn't expect the switch or the display/control board to be the issue, at this point. We would expect the 12010647 / 12010647 Power Module to be the issue based on your description. You'll need to partially remove the dishwasher, the module is located on the base of the machine, on the right hand side of the frame. A power outage and/or surge could damage the module, power enters the module, then is distributed to the other dishwasher components and controls.
