None off the touch buttons work all you see is the time and PF I hit clear stop nothing. Am I up a creek without a paddle.
1 Answer Tom, You will want to check the ribbon harness that goes from the membrane switch to the control board and make sure that they have a good firm connection. Check to make sure that that is no corrosion on the connections. If this checks ok then it sounds like the issue would be that the membrane switch has also failed. Read More...
F.G. January 08, 2015 for Model Number Kenmore elite electric range model # 790.99124401 The broiler and oven stopped working. My appliance service man checked the range and determined the oven control part #316418750 was bad. I ordered the part and installed it and the broiler and oven worked again. Then the cook top elements stopped working and it put a F5 code up. What is the problem?
1 Answer Hello F.G., The fault code F5 on this model Shows up as an electronic oven control failure (also called EOC or clock). You should check all connections for proper placement and good electrical connections. If no problems are found, the replacement part you received was defective from the manufacturer. You should be aware that the surface issue is on a different circuit that is not shared with the bake compartment. This is possibly the fault of the surface unit control board 316272401. Read More...

John C. July 11, 2014 for Model Number 790.99129405 stove I press the tab for bake and the broiler comes on. plus I get the F10 error. would the electronic oven control be bad. I was told the part number was 316418750. Model # 790.99129405 stove. don't want to spend big bucks. 250,00 is the price. if it doesn't solve the problem can I returen the part??? John Collins Thanks.
1 Answer John, Based on the information, the F10 on this unit would be a oven sensor error in which you will want to check the sensor for 1090 ohms at room temp. If it is in range of 10% then it is good and the control board would need to be replaced. The control board is part number 316418750. Read More...
