Anthony November 11, 2013 for Model Number pleb27t8ccb Lower oven neither broil or bake element are working. Checked sensor at it is 1083 ohm. Would next step be lower relay or clock/controller?
1 Answer Hello Anthony. If no power is coming fromt he board, and there is 240 at the terminal block, replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ken September 24, 2013 for Model Number Frigidare Double oven FEB798CC8CB-A I getting a F1 error code but could get both ovens to work periodically. I turned the circuit breaker off and reset the system only to get the F1 code again. I replaced both boards hooked everything up only to get the code again. Both ovens will come on and function but when turned off, the code F1 comes up and the oven beeps. I guess the only thing to replace is the control board... am I missing anything?
Brett September 11, 2013 for Model Number FEB398WECD I have a this series as a wall oven. We removed it from another house where it worked fine. Now we have it in a new place, the clock just blinks. I have followed the directions to set it, but it will not work. I removed the panel and the board, where I found there is a 1000 35F missing. Can I send it to you to be fixed or am I SOL. Thanks
1 Answer Brett, We do not rebuild parts and in order to get the unit back up and running you would need to purchase the OEM part. Read More...
Leigh March 04, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire Electrolux pleb30t8ccb I followed your advice re checking the voltage at the transformer between L1 and N and indeed there is 120 volts. I went further and based on a service pamphlet that came with the unit, it said that the J2 plug (coming from JI on the board with the transformer) is where power comes to the clock/timer control board. Positions 14 and 15 were said to be AC power and position 1 was ground. The voltage at that point was 2.9 volts AC (measured using a cheap Radio-Shack multi-meter on the 200 V scale). Is this reasonable or should I question the transformer's health? What I'm getting at is do I need the clock/timer board for sure or is it possible the board with the transformer needs to be replaced? I'm guessing the former.
1 Answer Leigh, The transformer should read approximately 20 vac and if only reading 2.9 then the transformer would be the problem. Read More...
Leigh February 28, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire Electrolux pleb30t8ccb Late one night after an upper oven self clean cycle, which was completed successfully - including cool down and door opening, and lots of white powder, the screen sometime later went black. No response to anything. However the lights come on when the door is opened and there seems to be 220V at the plug. Could it be that the Clock/Timer board died? Or maybe a bad wire or connection?
1 Answer Hello Leigh, You will want to check to see if you are getting 120 vac between L1 and N on the clock assembly. If you are not getting this voltage then you will want to look for a thermal cut off that may be causing issue. If there is 120 vac then the clock is bad and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Betty February 06, 2013 for Model Number GLEB30T8ASA Bottom oven baking unit quit working, next week top oven baking unit quit working. Checked for continuity, both elements okay. Checked voltage and both baking voltages were around 40 volts. Spoke with customer service and was told to order clock unit, replaced it and did not fix the problem. What would you suggest?
1 Answer Hello Betty. Check the thermal switch 318004900 and make sure it is good. Check and make sure there is 240 volts coming to the unit. If so, and the wires look good, you will need to order and replace the relay boards 318022002 and 318022001 in the unit. Read More...
Larry B February 03, 2013 for Model Number FEB398WECA When setting either top or bottom oven they shut off. You can set them at any temp. And seem ok for about 10 sc. Then go out. If you keep trying sometimes you can get one to work. Once they reach temp. They work fine.
1 Answer Hello Larry, You will want to check the oven sensor and make sure that the sensor is good. You should have an ohm reading of 1090 ohms at room temp. If the sensors check ok then you would want to check the control board for loss of power across the bake to L1 and Broil to L1. Any loss of power would indicate a bad relay in the board. Read More...
James I November 21, 2012 for Model Number Frigidaire GLEB 27T The lower oven does not heat-neither element works. Checked for power from the lower relay board on bake and nothing at bake relay or at bake element. I did check the lower oven thermal trip and have continuity through it, and pushed red button and it does not appear to be tripped. Not sure how to check power to the relay board. I previosuly replaced the upper oven relay board and as i recall both the upper and lower ovens worked initially. When i start bake on the upper oven it only powers the bake element, no power to broil, and as said above, no power to lower broil or bake element. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Hello James. Based on the information you provided, if the wiring is good, you will need to replace the lower relay board on the unit. Read More...
Jim September 21, 2012 for Model Number Feb398wecd Hi, My oven suddenly stopped working. It is a double oven, and neither oven, neither broil or bake, work at all (the elements remain cold). The control panel seems to work, you can set a temp. and set the timer, but it stays in preheat mode as it never warms up. Technician thought I need to replace both relay boards, but I don't see how both would go out at the same time (one board for each oven, right?). Thoughts? Jim
1 Answer Hello Jim. Check the wiring and make sure there is 240 volts coming to the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Pete September 03, 2012 for Model Number GLEB30T8CBA The bottom oven works fine. The top oven takes a long time to heat. The lower element is not getting hot in the bake mode but the top one is. I think the top one should only warm up in broil mode. (Could be wrong) The touch pads all work, the clock works. I have swapped out the lower elements from the bottom oven to the top oven and it still doesn't work. The bottom oven lower element glows red so I know it wasn't a bad element. I have checked the top oven sensor and got a reading of 1148 ohms. Which part do I need to replace or what should I check for next?
1 Answer Hello Pete. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the upper oven relay board 318022002 is bad and needs to be replaced. Read More...
