Steve September 11, 2017 for Model Number Frigidaire Freezer model # FFU1464FWO The temperature is only reach 40 F but not higher. I replace fan, Thermostat It works the same. Any idea?. Thanks
1 Answer Steve, You may need a new control 297282800 But first do the basic checks, Door closes and seals properly, freezer is level, interior light goes out when the door is closed. Then check and clean the area behind, under and the back and sides,( Be careful with the coils on the back of the unit) If all's OK, replace the control. Read More...

Garland L January 28, 2016 for Model Number LFFU14F5HWC Freezer compressor and fan will not run. Temperature control seems to work. What part failure will cause these symptoms?
1 Answer Garland, With the fan and compressor not running, it sounds like the unit may not have come out of the defrost which is controlled by the control board. The part number you will need is 297370600. Read More...
Frank December 10, 2015 for Model Number LFFU14F5HWC I ask a question earlier today, but gave you the wrong model #. I need an answer to the same question, but for this model # LFFU14F5HWC. Freezer would run Ok for a while, then the hi temp alarm was sounding, & the compressor was not running. Jarring the freezer would start the compressor, & it would run for a while again. Now jarring the freezer does not start the compressor. I don't get a voltage reading from the plug that connects to the compressor controller. What could the problem be? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Frank. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board 297370600 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. Read More...
Brian September 07, 2015 for Model Number LFFU14F5HWA How do I know if the controller on my upright freezer is faulty? My freezer runs constantly. I checked for frost on the coils, they were ok. I ohm tested the defrost thermostat, and had no continuity (ordered this part). If this doesn't fix my issue, the next steps seems to be the thermistor and/or controller.
1 Answer Hello Brain. The next step is the thermistor 297018400 and if it is good, then you would need to replace the control in the unit. Read More...

Ken January 13, 2013 for Model Number FFU14F5HWB My freezer runs constantly, it never shuts off. It does not matter the setting and my gasket is in good shape. What part or parts should I replace? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Ken, If the unit is running constantly then you would want to check to make sure that the unit is defrosting. Look at the back wall of the lower freezer and look for frost build up. If there is frost build up then you are having a defrost issue and would need to take the lower cover off and check for impacted coils. Coils impacted you will want to check the defrost thermostat and defrost heater for continuity. If they do not have continuity then you would need to replace component that is bad. If they check ok then you would want to replace the controller. If the coils are not impacted then you would want to check to make sure that there is a frost pattern. If no frost pattern or only partial frost pattern then you have sealed system issue. If the frost pattern is good then you would want to check the thermistor for resistance. Resistance should be 10k at 77 degrees. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. 1 Answer Hello Jay. No, the controller 216954214 is the start device for the compressor. 297370602 is the control board and is the timer for the unit. Read More...
