Rudy S Lincoln City , OR September 24, 2014 Appliance: Model 253.28432803 Kenmore 14 7 cu ft upright freezer ran all the time and temperature was way colder than it should have been I found out that I had two things go wrong with my freezer so it was more complicated than just fixing a single problem. Did some studying of the cases on the Appliancepartspros website and came to the conclusion it was probably the controller so I ordered one and easily installed it. I could tell by the lack of beeping, plus the controller was now able to adjust the temperature on the panel. Couldn't adjust it before, was stuck on 3. After running several hours the temperature inside was still a bit too cold with the controller set at 1. More studying in the website, looking at videos and calling Appliancepartspros I came to the conclusion I had another problem besides the controller - the thermistor. I replaced it easily but even at 1 the temperature was almost at the coldest point so it was working but giving the wrong signal to the controller. The manufacturer's recommendation is to set it at 4 which would have set the temperature at the coldest in the range. I called Appliancepartspros again and they were kind enough to send me another thermistor which I easily installed. Now it works perfectly! I recommend this company without reservation. They are friendly, their parts prices are reasonable and they are easy to deal with! Rodney S Surprise , AZ May 13, 2014 Constant beeping and blinking of control panel and freezer would not run I searched for the problem on the Internet. I saw someone else had a similar issue that was fixed by replacing the electronic panel. I decided that was a lot cheaper than buying a new freezer and it worked! I just popped the old one out and slide the new one in and everything is working again! Allen L San Martin , CA November 30, 2021 Appliance: Model KENMORE UPRIGHT FREEZER After power outage deep freezer compressor wouldn't run. Our deep freezer quit working after a power failure. I was looking at spending $700 to replace it if I couldn't repair it. Using the Appliance Parts Pros website I was able to identify the most likely culprit: an electronic control panel found on the front of the freezer door. The part arrived in about two days--on the Saturday of Thanksgiving Day weekend! Installation took just a few minutes, and the configuration instructions were easy to follow. This was probably the easiest appliance repair I have ever done! Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
