1 Answer Al, the access panel for the hidden bake element 318254916 will be located just above the warming drawer (will need to be removed to access the access panel) and it will be held in place by 3 screws. Once the screws are removed, the panel will rotate down, giving access to the element mounting screws that attach the element to the pan. Read More...

Loyd September 28, 2017 for Model Number 790.46892900 How do I get the bad lower, hidden bake element out in order to replace it? The oven doesn't have a access panel at the bottom of the oven like on other ovens I've worked on.
1 Answer Hello Loyd. In order to remove the storage drawer and access the hidden bake element, pull the drawer out to its maximum position. On the left hand side glide, push the drawer glide locking bracket upwards in order to unlock the left glide and slightly pull the drawer out. On the right hand side glide, push the drawer glide locking bracket down in order to unlock the left glide and put the drawer off of its glide. Unscrew the 3 screws which hold the hidden bake element service panel. (Third screw is located between the LH and RH screws). Lower the hidden bake panel in order to access the bake element. Remove the 4 screws which hold the bake element in place, gently pull the bake element out roughly 4? and replace. Gently push back the bake element in place taking care not to pinch the wires between the cavity and the element. Thanks. Read More...
Richard August 14, 2016 for Model Number FGES3065KFC How do you remove the bottom bake element on this stove.
1 Answer Richard, You will remove the 2 screws at the back of the oven where it screws into the oven back. Making sure that the unit is turned off, pull the element out and disconnect the wires. You may want to tie a string around the wire to keep it from sliding back into the hole and then install the new element in reverse. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Robert, I'm sorry but we have to have two values to apply Ohms' law to figure the amperage. While we know this is a 240Vac element, we have no model number to look up the wattage of the element, so the amperage is also an unknown. Read More...

Lenerd April 11, 2013 for Model Number 318254916 I pre-heated my oven to 325 and after awhile long enough for it to reach that temp it still does not go into cook mode I checked with a infra red and it showed that it was 218, could this part be the problem possibly because it does get warm but it does not reach the target.
1 Answer Lenerd, You will want to check for power to the bake element to make sure that there is 240 vac going to the bake element from the clock. Check L1 to Bake on the clock and see if there is 240 vac. If not then replace the clock. Read More...
