Bill March 13, 2014 I have a frigidaire electrolux professional series electric free standing range. It is a ceramaspeed model. The 10" front right expandable element does not turn off. I have disconnected the wire to it but need to get it operational again. I bought this appliance slightly used and don't have any info on it. The model number seems impossible to find. It posted a warning before it just stuck on. The warning indicators said the element or the control board need replacing. Help

1 Answer Hello Carolyn. You need to test the elements for continuity. They should read closed. Also, you can remove the elements and look for brakes or burnt spots on the ribbon cable in the element. 1 Answer CJ, You can look down into the element using a flashlight and see if you see any burn marks on the element. If there is a burn mark then the element is bad. If not then you would want to check the surface unit control board to make sure that it is sending power to the element.
