Roland D November 11, 2014 for Model Number How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4365966 / 318024747 Hinge My oven door was not closing completely/tightly (light staying on. I ordered and received two hinges about three days ago and replaced the old hinges. I am having the same problem with the door. It will not close completely/seal so I can bake and the light still stays on. Problem appears to be the same or worse. Thanks in advance
1 Answer Roland, This issue sounds like it would be caused by the hinge receivers which may be bent or out of alignment. Read More...
Mmz June 08, 2014 for Model Number CFEF372E After opening the door one day, the longer moving arm of the hinge came out of the body of the stove and after a little adjustment, went back in but not securely; every time the door is opened over 45 deg, it pops down from it's working position and then locks with the lip in the internal mechanism and won't go back. What do I need to do to have it fixed? It has no broken parts that I can see.
1 Answer MMZ, You will want to open the oven door where you can lock the hinge in place. With the hinge locked in place lift the door up until it stops. Try pushing in on the door and may have to lift a little until it kind of drops down a little. Once this is done then open the door and unhook. If this continues to happen the you would need to replace the hinge. Read More...
Gary K. August 14, 2013 for Model Number JT955SF11S I just received a GE Profile Oven JT9955SF11S from a friend, however, being helpful he gave me the doors from another oven. The white tag on the door give the number #326B1230P001. Although the hinge looks the same it has a narrow slot which does not fit on the round pin at the bottom of the hinge receiver. The oven is not yet installed. Can I get 4 hinges that will work (2 left 2 right)? Can I replace the hinge and receiver with 4 units that will work? Please advise.
1 Answer Hello Gary! We can only suggest the parts called for your particular model. The right door hinge is part number WB10T10026 and the left door hinge is part number WB10T10027. The hinge receiver is part number WB10T10025. The door does not come as a complete assembled item. Thanks. Read More...
Ted June 23, 2013 for Model Number CFEF372EC4 How do I unlock the clip on the oven door hinge 318024747? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Ted, The metal clip on the hinge should be re-positioned so it lays down against the lower hinge arm and is not hooked to the upper one. This has to be done with the door open. If it is tight, you can tap it around but be careful not to bend it. Read More...
Adam G March 22, 2013 for Model Number PLES399ECG The door on this range is not closing all the way. I think that I may need to replace the hinge, but I wonder if it may be possible to adjust the spring tension or replace only the spring rather than changing out the entire hinge. Do you know if there is an adjustment, or if I may be able to put a higher tension spring into the hinge?
1 Answer Adam, The hinge for this unit would need to be replaced as the spring for the hinge does not have an adjustment for it. Read More...
Ferron March 07, 2013 for Model Number pleb30s9fcd I am not able to re-hang the oven door after repair to the door hinges. It came off by opening the door to the first stop and lifting up. The door came off soooo easy, but re-installing in reverse order is much more difficult. What am I doing wrong?
1 Answer Ferron, It sounds like you do not have the locking clips in place holding the hinges to the positon that it will slide into place. You will need to use the clip to attach to the hook on the hinge. Once this is in place you will then slide the hinges into the receptacle. Once in place properly release the hook on the bottom and the door should sit properly in place. Read More...
Terence K March 05, 2013 for Model Number PLES389ECC I am trying to replace the door hinges on my oven. I have the hinge with the little clips that you can see when the door is opened all the way. When I engage the clips then I can only close the door half way and no matter what I do the door will not come off. What am I doing wrong?
1 Answer Terence, To remove the door, with the locking device in place you would pull up and out on door. This is the only way to be able to take door off. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Paul. To change the hinge 318024747 in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door hinge, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Hope this helps. Read More...
