Tony, To remove the door from the unit you will open the door all the way. You will then take the latch and place it over the hook on both sides then close the door and once it stops then you would push upward and then slide the door hinges out from the cabinet.

Roland, This issue sounds like it would be caused by the hinge receivers which may be bent or out of alignment.

MMZ, You will want to open the oven door where you can lock the hinge in place. With the hinge locked in place lift the door up until it stops. Try pushing in on the door and may have to lift a little until it kind of drops down a little. Once this is done then open the door and unhook. If this continues to happen the you would need to replace the hinge.

Gary K. for Model Number JT955SF11S

I just received a GE Profile Oven JT9955SF11S from a friend, however, being helpful he gave me the doors from another oven. The white tag on the door give the number #326B1230P001. Although the hinge looks the same it has a narrow slot which does not fit on the round pin at the bottom of the hinge receiver. The oven is not yet installed. Can I get 4 hinges that will work (2 left 2 right)? Can I replace the hinge and receiver with 4 units that will work? Please advise.

Hello Gary! We can only suggest the parts called for your particular model. The right door hinge is part number WB10T10026 and the left door hinge is part number WB10T10027. The hinge receiver is part number WB10T10025. The door does not come as a complete assembled item. Thanks.

Hello Ted, The metal clip on the hinge should be re-positioned so it lays down against the lower hinge arm and is not hooked to the upper one. This has to be done with the door open. If it is tight, you can tap it around but be careful not to bend it.

Adam, The hinge for this unit would need to be replaced as the spring for the hinge does not have an adjustment for it.

Ferron, It sounds like you do not have the locking clips in place holding the hinges to the positon that it will slide into place. You will need to use the clip to attach to the hook on the hinge. Once this is in place you will then slide the hinges into the receptacle. Once in place properly release the hook on the bottom and the door should sit properly in place.

Terence, To remove the door, with the locking device in place you would pull up and out on door. This is the only way to be able to take door off.

Hello Paul. To change the hinge 318024747 in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door hinge, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Hope this helps.
