Gilberto February 13, 2018 for Model Number FGHS2634KW0 My refrigerator keeps freezing my food. The temperature readout for the refrigerator varies between 60 and 80 but the temperature inside is about 24 to 27 on a thermometer. The freezer readout varies between -20 and 6 and the temperature inside usually matches. I have tested the freezer and refrigerator thermistors and they both show 8.4k ohms at 77, I'm not sure what the specifications are. Is the problem in the thermistors or will there be a problem in the motherboard?

Belinda January 21, 2018 for Model Number LFUS2613LEO Prior to replacing the defrost thermostat the freezer temp would rise intermittently and especially if I had been cooking for hours. I removed the back panel in the freezer and discovered ice balls on the pipe leading from what I believe is the supply pipe on and below the thick goopy feeling tape and on the first bend. The temp was more stable with the ice balls. I defrosted them with a hair drier. Now after changing the defrost thermostat the freezer wasn't going below 12 degrees and at times 22 in the freezer and 35 in fridge. I triggered it to do a defrost cycle with the freezer light. After doing so the display finally registered -1/35 but it still rises more often to 22degrees. I had thermometers in both sides and the freezer overnight. In the morning it was at 5degrees and with food in fridge it registered at 40- 45. Why is it acting up more since I changed the thermostat? You do here the hiss of the freon when the unit is unplugged. So I am not to sure it's a freon problem yet.

Ed November 14, 2017 having a problem with a frigidaire side by side refrigerator. The freezer is fine but the fresh food side shows a hi or h1 code. Have unplugged it,checked the coils and reset it multiple times. Fan is running. What could it be ?

1 Answer Joe, For the thermistor there is a cover over the thermistor on the side wall that you remove and then the thermistor will just unplug and plug back in. Derek August 01, 2017 for Model Number FGHS2631PF0 My freezer is working fine, but the fresh food side is not cooling. It stays at about 55° but the temperature reading on the digital display shows the temp as 33°. The condenser fan is running, the defrost thermostat shows continuity and there are no obstructions on the air intake. I cannot feel any airflow into the fresh food side. Do i have a bad controller?

(fahrenheit) , make sure the controls are set at 5 and 5 (mid range) This should produce a temperature of 38 dgrs F/F and 0 dgrs Frzr(+/- 3 dgrs.) Check the top shelf left side / corner. Make sure there's no large, tall or bulky items on the shelf, blocking or redirecting the air from the damper away from the thermistor , check all the shelves for articles hanging over the edges of the shelves, or against the side or rear walls.
