Chris M March 25, 2011 for Model Number JK2903 AV Thanks again for responding. This is an 1969 GE oven. The sensor unit does fit between the rear prongs. I noticed that one person had been able to force the sensor in the 1" space but I cannot see how that can be done without bending the element prongs. Also the prongs on the original are 3 1/2 " (not 2 1/2) so that the sensor was very close to the terminals. The sensor was mounted without the clip that originally held it in place.

Chris M. March 25, 2011 for Model Number JK2903 AV I recieved your answer to my question as to the needed space between the rear prongs needed to fit the temp sensor between them. A 1 1/4" space is needed as with the original (1 1/2" center to center.) I was told by your company that the unit in stock has only a 1" separation that will not accomodate the sensor. The prongs would have to be bent or the sensor mounted differently. If you , in fact, have the unit with a 1 1/4" separation (actually measured) I would like to order it. Please help. Thanks.
1 Answer Chris, are you certain you supplied the correct model number? We have researched all the oven cavity parts for the model number you supplied. We cannot find a oven temperature sensor or a bake or broil element that is configured the way you're describing it. Could you verify the model number again, please. Our information indicates, the oven temperature sensor in located in the upper left corner of the back wall of the oven cavity. Chris M. March 23, 2011 for Model Number JK2903 AV The bake unit WB44X169 need to be replaced. The unit available Part #AP2031019 has a 1" space between the two prongs benind the mounting plate and so the temperature sensor will not fit between them. The original unit has 1 1/4" space (1 1/2 center to center.) What do you recommend? Can the prongs be bent to fit or can the sensor be mounted elsewhere?
