What's included: One control panel assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before beginning work; verify the appliance is de-energized.
  • Handle the panel and finish carefully to avoid scratches; use proper fasteners and gaskets as shown in the service diagram.
  • Removal may require accessing internal panels or removing the oven door—follow the OEM service instructions.

Calin, The WB07X11051 / WB07X11051 Control Panel Asm. s/s, is the correct panel to order for model number JVM1740SMSS01. It does " appear " to have two ribbons, But only one connector that attaches to the control board. The lower tracer ribbon "loops" up, and is actually the lower 4 or 5 tracers of the single connector. There are no "optional" connections to make. Thanks,

Hello, Several of the buttons on my GE Profile microwave (model JVM1740SM1SS) were not working. I ordered the replacement part you recommended (part # WB07X11051) and installed it. Installation was fairly easy. All the buttons appear to be working now, except one of the issues remains. The final number repeats on the display. For example, instead of reading 1:30, it will read 1:300. Any number in that second slot after the colon will repeat. Also, the word "mute" will not disappear from below the numbers, regardless of what volume setting I choose. Can you tell me why this is happening? Before we installed the new part, the final number repeating was an existing issue. The stuck "mute" display, however, is a new issue that popped up only after installing the new part. Thanks for your help!

Hello Michele. You will need to make sure the ribbon cable for the panel is installed properly. If it is, then it sounds like the control board WB27X10934 on the unit is bad and will need to be replaced.

The ice maker suddenly stopped working. There is no ice left in the bucket and it will not make more ice. What could be causing this? FYI ~ We recently replaced the water filter (unfortunately not with a GE Branded product but with an off-brand as that was what was in there originally when we bought the house and this was before I found this site). Although it took a bit to flush out the new filter and actually get it working again, the water dispenser does now work. The ice maker stopped working after this. Could having replaced the filter have anything to do with the ice maker suddenly not working?

Hello Michele. If the dispenser is working, then the water to the icemaker should be fine. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Michele for Model Number JVM1740SM1SS

Hello, Can you please verify that this is the part I need - GE WB07X11051 (AP3993614) for my GE Profile Microwave, model # JVM1740SM1SS? Most of the buttons on the touchpad do not work. The numbers 3 thru 6 work, beverage, popcorn, potato, add 30 sec, surface light... but that's about it. The others are nonfunctional. The microwave was in the house we just bought ~ I don't know the history of the unit but it seems to work as long as you are hitting one of the buttons mentioned above. Is this a fairly easy repair to do oneself? Is this part all I will "likely" need? When do you expect it back in stock? Thanks for the input!
