Amanda January 17, 2020 for Model Number JGBP35CEJ1CC Hello, I recently bought a used stove and just learned from the local gas man that it was never converted from natural gas to propane. I can not seem to find a conversion kit for this model, and am having difficulty sorting out which parts I need. Can you all help line me out? Thanks! Amanda
1 Answer Amanda, unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the conversion kit WB28K10568 and it is no longer available. However, the orifices are available separately. The right rear orifice is part number WB28K10031, left rear is WB28K10215, left front is WB28K10215, and the right front is part number WB28K10256. The oven burners would be tightened until they are just snug (do not overtighten) and the regulator cap will have to be flipped upside down. Conversion would need to be done with the gas supply turned off to the range. Read More...
Jan E. January 08, 2020 for Model Number 317B664p001 Not sure if my number is the model number or not.Hotpoint stove we want to convert to propane can you please help with part we need for burners and oven.
1 Answer Jan, The number you supplied is not a model number for a Hot Point/Ge gas range. We're going to need the model number in order to assist you with the proper parts needs and conversion process to make the product as safe as possible. You'll need to open the lower storage/broiler drawer, the production plate, with the model and serial number is usually attached to the front frame of the range. Older ranges have the serial tag located on the oven door frame when the oven door is opened. The tag could be under the cooktop, in the center between the burners, if the top can be lifted. Cheryl October 30, 2019 for Model Number RGB740BEH3WH I bought this stove and was told it was propane, is it? If not, what parts do I need to convert it to a propane stove?
1 Answer Cheryl, this unit is compatible with natural gas and propane. To identify if it has been converted to propane, the orifices would need to be inspected. If the cooktop burner orifices have .99mm, .89mm, or .63mm stamped on the top, then they have been converted to propane. If not, then the orifice kit WB28K10556 can be used to convert the unit to propane. Read More...
