Bandele J-C September 01, 2020 for Model Number DPSB613ED1WW The machine keeps coming on and beeping. I have switched off the breaker and then switched it back on, and the control panel immediately comes on and starts beeping. It defaults to Sensor Dry mode and if I choose another mode, it reverts back within a few seconds.
1 Answer Bandele, you will need to access the WE4M296 Electronic Board and check for a cracked, broken, or damaged keypad button/tab or damaged wire, etc.. you most likely have a damaged, broken sensor dry keypad/tab, so there's a constant circuit causing the control to beep and revert back to the sensor dry setting. Angel September 20, 2019 for Model Number DPSB613ED2WW This is a GE Profile dryer. It stopped heating up on all settings. I used a resistance meter on the heater coils, all 5 thermostats switches, and 2 motor switches, they all tested fine. What else would not allow the dryer to heat up? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Angel, If both heating elements, the thermostats, and the centrifugal switch in the motor all test good, the issue will have to be either a dropped leg of power, (L2), or a bad relay on the control board WE4M296. Read More...
R S December 25, 2018 for Model Number DPSB613ED2CC The start button on the control panel of my GE Profile Dryer no longer works. What part(s) do I need to replace and what are the correct part numbers?
1 Answer R. S., First, you may want to check for a broken belt WE03X29897 and/or the idler switch [AP399476] on the motor mount, if the belt is broken, or the switch or wiring has failed the dryer will not start or run. Otherwise you will need the control board WE4M296 . Read More...

Bruce W May 04, 2013 for Model Number DPSB613ED1WW The control panel shorted out, started melting the plastic. I was able to unplug dryer before it totally destroyed panel. What would have caused this? If I replace control panel how will I know it will not do it again?
1 Answer Bruce, Based on the information it sounds like a relay may have been sticking which would have cause the control board to fail and overheat. The control board would need to be replaced. Read More...
W.S. November 01, 2012 for Model Number dpsb513eboww No matter what setting I put the dryer on it will only run for 6 min and then shut down. After that I can immediately hit start and it will run for a nother 6 min and shut down, but hit start and it starts again...
1 Answer Hi. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. E0 display if the thermistor has no error. E1 if an error exists. Then verify the thermistor part # WE4M275 reads 100K ohms @ 77° room temperature. Remove the CN4 connector at the rt. side of the transformer on the control board. Place the ohm meter on pins 5 & 6. Thank You. Read More...
John H May 28, 2012 for Model Number DPSB613GD2WW Can the K5 relay be purchased separately and soldered on to the board? My inner coil is not heating and all t stats and coils test for continuity. It was suggested to replace the entire board, but would be much cheaper to just replace the relay. Where can I purchase the K5 relay? Thanks - John
1 Answer Hello John. Sorry, but the relay is not available separately. If it is bad, you will need to replace the control board WE4M296. Read More...

Jc October 16, 2011 for Model Number DP13613EDww I have a ge dryer that takes to long to dry loads. The vent is not the problem. The drum temp. gets to around 125-135 the 4 wire thermostat reads across the two large terminal but not the small term. Should you be able to read across the small term. with an omh meter and can this be the problem? Thanks for your help
1 Answer Hello JC. The small terminals on the thermostat should show resistance, but not continuity. If the cycling thermostat is bad, it can prevent the dryer from drying properly. Hope this helps. Read More...
