"D" November 15, 2016 for Model Number DPGT750EC1PL Here goes! I have a GEProfile Dryer DPGT750EC1PL and need the front felt replaced. The replacement felt associated with the model number states it is for the back of the dryer not the front. Also it does not look like the felt that is hanging down from the front of the drum. Two thoughts: If I am going to take the dryer apart to fix the felt, I might as well buy a new one. My concern is that this is an older dryer and the felt will not be what is needed, so I am better off to reapply the old seal. After looking at the price and not knowing if this is the correct part, I'm having a bit of a dilemma. Thanks for your thoughts! "D"
Barbara May 15, 2016 for Model Number DPSE810EG7WT I see 8 inch felt inside the dryer drum attached to dryer. I think I need to replace the felt. From reading I have a ge model that is no longer manufactured. I have not found a video to replace the felt on this unit. Should I order the felt because that is all I notice is wrong? Can I still run the dryer? Should i just call a repair rep and will they know the problem? should I order the part now? What part do I order?

Gary April 08, 2015 For model #DPSR483EA1AA do I need lower and upper felt seal? I watched a diy video and it was all on piece. Also do I need to buy adhesive separately? Thank you
1 Answer Gary, The felt seal goes into a groove on the front of the dryer and does not require adhesive to hold it in place. Read More...

Chris J August 06, 2014 for Model Number Hotpoint NVLR333EVOWW The felt seal (that the drum rides on the top front has come loose and fallen down inside. The result was a really hot spot there on the dryer drum (friction?) and a burning smell (lint). The felt item looks pretty nasty so I though I would get a new one. HOW do I attach it to the dryer frame so it stays in place. It was loose when we cleaned out the lint last year and I tucked it back where I thought it belongs but it apparently didn't stay. Thanks Chris in Albuquerque
1 Answer Chris, There is a slot at the bottom of the air duct inside the unit that the seal would go int. It just slides into place and does not use adhesive. Read More...
Rick July 28, 2014 for Model Number ddg8580rcmad Lower Felt we9m10. Does this actually support the drum? If it is vital for bearing of the drum, I'd like to consider replacing, but I do not know exactly what it is for except to help guide the rotation. Is that right?
1 Answer Hello Rick, The lower seal is important for air flow. If it is worn, the heat, lint, and moisture will go back into the cabinet of the unit, causing electrical and mechanical parts to fail prematurely. It also keeps the drum from catching clothing. Read More...
Tom November 09, 2011 for Model Number DBLR333ETOWW I assume the felt is supposed to be under the bottom edge of the drum when the front is put back on. Is there a trick to telling whether it is under the lip or was pushed in as the front was put on, and for that matter is there a trick to making the drum slip in to the front and ending up on top of the felt and not pushing the felt in front of the drum? I used the old not in the best of shape felt, though maybe it's easier for it to go together correctly with a new piece of felt.
1 Answer Hi Tom. it is step by step told in the G.E. Service manual part # WX10X116. If you need the front upper drum glides part # WE3X87,(you will need 3 of them) or the front lower felt part # WE9M10. We are here 24/7 to assist. Please call 1-877-477-7278 A.P.P. Call Center. Dave August 25, 2011 for Model Number bjlr473etoww I just purchased a felt seal for my RCA/GE dryer, but it keeps sliding out. How do I get it to stay in place? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Dave. If the tabs are not holding the felt seal WE9M10 in place, you can use a little high temperature adhesive WPY055980 to glue it to the front. Hope this helps. Read More...
