Michael June 14, 2023 for Model Number Pdp715syn4fs My dishwasher doesn't dry dishes anymore. I checked the heating element and it had continuity. When I checked for 120 volts at it during the test mode, it wasn't getting voltage to it. So I ordered and installed a new control board WD21X30998 as per your website but heating element still won't come on. What else can cause this heater to not get 120 volts? Thanks.
1 Answer Michael, There should be a thermostat that would need to be tested for continuity. If there is continuity and the heater is getting 120 vac to it then this will require the heater to be replaced. Read More...
Helen May 11, 2023 My dishwasher keeps tripping my breaker. Can a bad heating element cause this issue?

Helen May 11, 2023 If I am not getting enough hot water coming into my dishwasher, can that cause my heating element to not function?
1 Answer Helen, If the water is not hot enough coming into the dishwasher then it will cause the unit to have to heat the water and the heater should be operating. Read More...
Helen May 11, 2023 for Model Number GDF630PSM0SS My dishwasher isn't drying the dishes like it use to. I tested the element for voltage and it had the correct voltage and I inspected the element for damage and there was no damage to it. What else could be causing a no heat problem?
1 Answer Helen, If the element is getting 120 Vac to it but it is not coming on then the element will be faulty and in need of replacement. Read More...
Samuel June 06, 2022 for Model Number GDF640HGM0BB the plastic nut to the heating element on the bottom of the dishwasher tub is leaking. the element is crimped or spot welded to the wire. can this be replaced easily? does the new element come with new gaskets?
1 Answer Samuel, the heating element WD05X35098 can be replaced easily and does come with the gaskets. The wire that is attached should have a terminal connector that would pull away from the spade terminal of the element. The connector does have some tension to hold it onto the spade terminal securely. Read More...
Dan February 11, 2020 for Model Number GDF630PSM0SS The Sanitize light no longer illuminates, and the sanitize function does not work. I checked the heating element continuity: it seems OK at 23 ohms. I checked that the flood float mechanism is mechanically unconstrained, and it is OK too. It is possible that the trouble was somehow induced by (accidentally) running the dishwasher with its water input shut off, since sanitize has not worked since then. What should I check next?
1 Answer Dan, It is possible that running without water could have affected the sanitize mode. You will want to put the unit into a cycle and check to make sure that there is power going to the heater. If there is no power to the heater when it should come on then the issue will be the control board. If there is power and the heater does not come on when the heater is faulty but also check the thermostat. Read More...
