Joe D May 06, 2013 for Model Number GTS18HBMBRWW our refrigerator has no ice maker at this time Will IM 6 icemaker work in our refrigerator?
Cindy February 21, 2013 for Model Number PTC22SBMARBS Our model GE Profile refrigerator with the referenced model number currently has a model IM-4A icemaker. This icemaker has ceased working. We want to replace it with the IM6 model, which appears to be same. The website, however, tells us that this icemaker is for new installations only and cannot be used to replace the broken IM-4A. Why is this? Isn't it possible to install the IM6? It looks just like the IM-4A which is currently in the refrigerator. Our refrigerator does NOT have the in-door dispenser but it is located in the above door freezer section . Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Cindy, Since you already have an exisiting icemaker you can use part number WR30X10093 Read More...
Chuck G. February 11, 2013 for Model Number HSS25GFPH WW IM-6 kit arrived with directions to look for a sticker on rear of unit to tell me whick set of instructions to follow. There was a sticker that refers to low voltage DC connector labeling for models J 4 OR J 16, J3 OR J10, J1 OR J14, J2 OR J13. do I use instruction set J or can you tell fe from the model # which install instructions to use. ( low voltage sticker on back refers to models beginning with J. The ice maker sticker does not refer to anything useful.
1 Answer Hello Chuck. You will install the kit just like the instructions say to. If there is a sticker with the J, then that is the process you will need to do to install the unit. Read More...

Ed M October 24, 2012 for Model Number Ap2718821 Ice maker was working fine until yersterday... Now the maker makes a clicking sound and the main spoke which it uses to push the ice out of the "molds" is not moving... When there is no obstacles (i.e. Ice) it moves well... Even when i lightly push my finger against it, it stops moving... I opened it up and determined that it is probably the little electric motor that moves the wheel around (which in turn helps move the main spoke)... Is there anyway I can buy just the electric motor?
1 Answer Hello Ed. No, with this icemaker IM6D you need to order the complete icemaker for the unit. Read More...
