Paul January 14, 2012 for Model Number GE model #GTH18EBC2RWW refrigerator We need to add on an icemaker, as there was not one already installed. We have GE model #GTH18EBC2RWW refrigerator. Which icemaker do we need?

1 Answer Hello Mike. Check and see if the icemaker is cycling. If so, and there is power to the water valve, but no water, replace the valve WR57X10033. If the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker WR30X10093. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Frank W. November 14, 2011 On the back of the refrigerator it calls for a m4 Icemaker and I was sent a M6. The icemaker I was sent has 5 prones and the freezer only has a two prone receptor. What do I need to do to make this work or do I need to send it back?
1 Answer Hello Frank. The IM4 is no longer made and they use the IM6 kit in it's place. You will need to use the wiring harness in the kit for your model to make it work. There are instructions included with the kit that tells you how to do this. It should have everything in the kit IM6D to hook the new icemaker up to the refrigerator. Hope this helps. Read More...

Mike B November 05, 2011 for Model Number GTS16BBSALWW This fridg appears to have an electical female plug in the freezer compartment. Will the AP 2718821 GE add on icemaker install easily in this freezer (and is it made for this model).
1 Answer Mike, As long as there is NOT an icemaker in the refrigerator, now. You'll be fine with the IM6D. You'll have everything you need to install the kit into your refrigerator. If there is an ice maker in the unit, you will need to remove it and get the ice maker part number off the ice maker to cross reference it to a repalcement kit. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
