Ray December 27, 2019 for Model Number GNE26GMDDES My ice maker will not cycle through for the ice to dump. The paddles will not rotate. I have turned the ice maker off and pushed the paddle switch 3 times to reset. I can hear the motor trying to turn but sounds like it’s in a bind. What would be the replacement? WR30X28682? How do you get the old one out?
1 Answer Hello Ray, You will need to order WR30X28682 for the model provided. It is mounted to the wall with two screws and there is a harness in the rear. Remove the screws then unplug the harness. The refrigerator is a GE Model number PWE23KSDESS Style D (Without the outside door ice and water dispenser) Lines are clean, water pressure is great and filtered water dispensing fine. The cubes are just smaller than I want.

When I put it in Service mode, I hear the motor trying to push the ice out. I never see the arm moving. I think that the ice maker gears are gone. Should I perform another test to verify? Thanks
