Hi Bill, thanks for your question. It’s definitely possible that the infinite switch WB24X47186 has failed. You can test it pretty easily with the power turned off: Turn off power to the range. Remove the wire from terminal 4 on the infinite switch. Set the switch to the small burner setting. Test for continuity between terminal 4 and terminal L1. If there’s no continuity, that confirms the switch has failed.

Hill, with the power supply cord unplugged, the back panel of the range would need to be removed to access the heating element terminals to test them for continuity to the frame. If there is no continuity on either element when testing to the oven frame, the failure would be in the main control WB27X33125.

Rod for Model Number JB755FJ5DS

Our stove top right front triple surface and the left front dual surface glass burners both turn on but are not working properly. The triple turns on with any three of the burner sizes but none will work when on hotter setting. The front left dual burner will turn on with both elements sizes, both stay on full hot and won’t turn to lower heat no matter where you set the knob. Do I need new dual and triple switches to solve the issues? Or is this possibly something else?
