For Ge Refrigerator Air Damper Control Assembly (Part Number: OEM11390985)

Ken, Unfortunately, we do not have any information or parts for this model refrigerator. It would be recommended to check to see if the compressor is running if both the refrigerator and freezer are not working. If the compressor is not running then it is possible the start device will be the failure but we do not have much information.

Jon for Model Number Monogram ZIS480D

The freezer is colder roughly 5 degrees colder than normal and the fridge is roughly 10-12 degrees warmer than the desired temperature. I haven't checked the upper damper to see if was open or closed but I did check the damper located in the fresh meat door at the bottom and it appears to be closed. I talked to a local appliance company and they stated that it appears to be a bad damper control. My question is, if the upper damper is bad, what are the chances of the lower fresh food drawer damper being bad? I'm thinking that there is something else that is bad that controls both dampers. What are your thoughts? Is there away to test a damper?

Jon, pretty close, but not on track, the "lower" damper and fan are controlled bu the climate drawer control board. If it were stuck open, the refrigerator would be too cold, if it were stuck closed the climate drawer would be too warm. Based on your description and information, the "upper damper" could be the issue, if the door is stuck closed or partially open, then the refrigerator would be warm and the freezer would be cooler. The first thing you may want to do is check and clean the condenser coil in the top compressor compartment, and check the freezer evaporator fan, it is a DCV motor and they are known to run slow or intermittently which would also disrupt the air flow between the compartments. Thanks,

Dan, This could be a buzz from the water valve when the ice maker is filling. Located at the rear in the machine compartment. Check it to verify. Part number: {AP 3192626}

Ed, If the freezer is colder than what the set temp is then this would most likely be a damper issue which would be part number WR49X10107.

Scott S for Model Number ZISS360DMCS

The fresh food side is running around 49F with the thermostat set at 37F. The freezer size is running at -10F with thermostat set to -1F. I have checked the upper damper and the baffle is open. I have closed it and cycled the power and the door does re-open as expected. under these conditions I would expect the fresh food side to be too cold. Also - while i was working on getting access to the damper - the power for the fresh food size stopped working. Seems like the damper isn't the problem. What do you suggest? thank you in advance

Scott, Down by the crispers there is a vent that is the return air duct. You will want to make sure that this air duct is not blocked which would cause the issue that you are experiencing.
