Neil for Model Number GTW685BPL1DG

GTW685BPL1DG Installed the WH22X35757 board. Plugged it in. Lights start flashing like they are supposed to. Hit the start button to select the personality trait and the machine goes dark and are unable to select the personality trait. Unplugged the washer and let it sit. Plugged it back in, flashing lights come back and once start is hit it goes dark. Is there a step I am missing? Answer Neil, Try putting the unit into ther service diagnostic mode and go into the programming section there to program the control board. Washer will not go into diagnostic mode. Could there be an issue with the new board? We reinstalled the old board and it runs normally with the issues that lead us to replacing it. All the connections look good on the board. None of the pins look damaged. We can't figure it out.

Sam for Model Number GTW685BPL1DG

I got the board AP7211662 for the washer from you. I replaced it and entered the personality code of 6. The washer fills then immediately drains. If gives error message of water supply issue. The explanation I found is that it can not sense the water level, but there is plenty of water in it. My first question, is personality code 6 correct for this model? If so, what other issue might there be. If code 6 is not correct, how do I reset the personality code and what is the correct one. Thank you

1 Answer

Sam, The personality code for this unit shows that it should be code 7. You can put the unit into service diagnostics and go to test 17 which is to change the personality code.
