Hello Debora! The bake element used on GE LEB356* models is part number WB44K5012. You will need to unplug the range. Remove the oven racks. In the back of the electric range, there are two screws that hold on a bake element. Remove these two screws and gently pull the element towards the door opening. Remove the wires from the bake element one at a time. You may need to use long nosed pliers to remove the wires. Be careful that the wiring doesn't fall back through the back of the oven. Once the wires have been removed, discard the old element and replace it with the new one. Once the new element is installed, plug the unit back in and test. Hope this information helps!

Hello Manuel. The element should be reading 18 (or closed) when tested. You will need to check the voltage coming from the clock to the bake element. If the clock is not sending the proper voltage to the bake element it will need to be changed. Your clock part number is WB50T10050. Thanks.

Missy for Model Number JSP39WT1WW

Unfortunately I was baking my very first frozen apple pie in the oven when it starating spilling over the cookie sheet. I had the temp set at 395 degrees the instructions said 400. I was upstairs on the computer, my husband comes in and says the oven is on fire. The element was blazing we cut the stove off it kept burning, we finally cut it off at the breaker and it stopped burning. The next morning I went to clean the mess up i.e. soda and spill and the element had burnt into. Can I change out the lower heating element on this model? Part # AP2030968.

1 Answer

Hello Missy. Yes, you can change it out. Make sure you disconnect power to the unit first. Then remove the screws holding the element in place. Next remove the wires from the element and reinstall with your new element in reverse order. Thanks.
