Jerry May 23, 2022 for Model Number GFE29HMECES Crushed ice or water keeps being dispensed when the dispenser paddle is depressed. Also bogus temperature values for freezer and fridge are displayed. Not what was set to and they change each time the endless dispensing occurs. Had to open the door to interrupt the ice or water flow. Display eventually goes dark. Fridge and freezer work fine and temperature settings read normally. If power goes off for any reason, the dispenser comes on and bogus display comes up. Have to open doors to turn off. Tried replacing the dual water feed in LH dispenser door but no change. Thinking the CPU at bottom of fridge but wonder if the display PCB is sending wrong status info to the CPU The CUBED button was jacked up and had to refit it in. Possibly damaged the board? Martha October 27, 2020 for Model Number DFE29JMDCES There are two vents on the left side but you can only feel the cold air flow in the bottom one. It was also warm and would freeze the food and the water that would drip in it tray. So we changed the fan inside and I believe it was a sensor we thought this would fix it. It's cold now but that top vent is still not working. What can it be?
1 Answer Martha, the two vents on the left side where the door connects are both used to allow for air circulation. One vent will allow air to pass into the door while the second door is a return vent to allow the air from the door to circulate back into the freezer so that the air can continue to cool. Martha October 27, 2020 for Model Number DFE29JMDCES The control board hasn't turned on for some time now {about 3 years} so it doesn't light up, dispense water or ice. The filter light has come on a couple of times so if I replace this LED Icon Ui part will it fix the problem?
