1 Answer Will, You will want to check the power supply to the range. You will need to check to make sure that there is 240 vac to the unit. If there is 240 vac at the terminal block then you will want to take the cover off the control panel and check for 240 vac from the l1 to l2 on each of the switches. I see that the part is available for <$20.00 and want to know if this is something a reasonably adept do it yourselfer can replace and if there are any safety precautions to take when removing the old part and replacing it with a new one (like disconnecting the stove from the electric service).

You have not mentioned which burner that was left on and caused the issue...." The cause was blown out of the Left Rear electric element, which results in the constant ON of the indicator light. The left Rear slot can be still usable if a new element is placed. Do you suggest I need to replace both burner and switch? Thanks. Martyl M. September 21, 2011 I have a JBP24 G W1WH electric stove whose indicator light is now constantly ON no matter whether the stove is using or off. Now with the indicator light constantly on, it's not safe to use the unit as we don't know it's off. Which part should I buy to fix the problem. By the way, the problem was caused by overheating of a pan to dryness and blown out the circuit.
