Charon September 13, 2011 for Model Number WSXH208 I have a pump drain that spins, but it makes a "ticking" sound as it spins and barely pumps any water, (I have disassembled it, there is nothing obviously blocking,) is this likely to be the pump motor itself malfunctioning?
1 Answer Hello Charon. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the pump WH23X10016 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Cslocum September 06, 2011 for Model Number WSXH208A1WW Is there any way to test pump drain for washer? It ticks when it runs and does not pump water out.
1 Answer Hello Cslocum. Check and make sure there is nothing in the pump. If it is clear, you will test for power coming to the pump assembly. If there is power there, but the unit does not run, you will replace the pump WH23X10016. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
