Bryan May 24, 2021 Hi I have older (10 years?) GE Superba oven/microwave combination unit. Microwave will heat for 3-4 minutes OK and then the heating stops. You can hear magnetron hum has stopped but fan continues running. After some time(5-10 min), it will start to heat again. I had technician review and he thought it was the magnetron - installed a new one and same thing happened, so we put back the old one. He told me it was in the control board - I replaced it. But it did not fix the problem. Is it likely to be bad thermal sensor or something with fan/cooling? Thanks!
1 Answer Bryan, if the model number of your appliance could be provided in a new question, this will allow the most accurate information to be presented. Read More...
Sesiom December 26, 2020 for Model Number JT5500SF3SS Both heating elements for bake and broil not working no heat at all Suspects thermal/ sensor fuse malfunction? Can’t figure out the actual location of the part, GE Model JT5500SF3SS wall oven How could I pull this oven unit out on a built in cabinet
1 Answer Sesiom, Based on the information provided the oven sensor is located in the oven and is part number WB21X10165 but a mor likely issue for both elements not working at all is the hi limit thermostat part number WB24X46906 or the range relay board part number WB27X25594. Each of these should be checked with a multi-meter to determine the cause of the issue. To pull the oven out you will likely need assistance and an oven dolly or a table to pull it out on. Ned July 07, 2020 for Model Number JVM3670WF10 Hi! I would like a diagram, instructions or a video about removing the keypad panel for this microwave. I believe I may have to remove the unit from the wall (under cabinet mount) to access screws at the top of the unit - but don't want to do this, if at all possible. The microwave is not currently working but exhibited issues that indicated that at least one of the interlock switches was bad. I will check other components once I have gained access. Can you help with this? Thanks, Ned
1 Answer Ned, to remove the user interface, the microwave will need to be unplugged and the vent grill would need to be removed first. This can be done by removing the two screws that would be located on the top cover about 3" from each end of the grill. Once the grill vent is removed, a mounting screw will be visible on the side of the user interface that will need to be unscrewed. This will allow the user control panel to lift up and out to be able to access the door switches. Read More...
James December 16, 2019 for Model Number LVM1750SM1SS Microwave is not heating. I replaced one of the thermal switches because it showed bad. But now when I plug it in the fan runs and will not shut off. I let the fan run for over 30 minuets to see if it would reset itself but it didn't shut off. The replacement switch I used is (22-WB27X1127). The other thermal switch showed good as well as all door switches, fuse, capacitor and diode. There is no heat around the oven because the stove has not been on. I don't know if the microwave heat is working yet because I haven't tried heating anything yet. ?????
1 Answer James, It sounds like you replaced the fan thermostat. That is supposed to be open until it reaches a certain temperature then it will close and the fan comes on. Check the terminals on the magnetron for less than 1 ohm of resistance. If it fails then replace the magnetron. Read More...
Mike November 26, 2019 for Model Number JVM1740SM1SS Now power to microwave. Found some burnt wires connected to part 090 KSD-100LC which I believe is the thermal fuse to the magnatron. No continuity. My parts list says to use WB27X10166. Is this the part I need? AP2026071?
Don November 06, 2019 for Model Number GE model JES1456 I have a GE model JES1456 that acted completely dead. I opened it and found the thermal fuse labeled 1001 KSD-100LC 0 is open. It also has discolored one prong and slightly burnt the plastic on the wire plug, which I will replace. Will you please tell me what part number to order to receive this 1001 KSD-100LC 0 thermal fuse? Thank you!
1 Answer Don, The thermal fuse is part number WB27X10928 and if it blows again you will want to check the door switches for continuity when the door is opened and closed. Read More...
Daniel April 16, 2019 for Model Number ME16H702SES Hello. I have found that my Ksd-150lc Bimetal Thermal Fuse on top of my magnetron was open and that the female attaching terminals were a little burnt. Do you have a fuse to replace this one? I ordered part number WB27X10985 and it doesn't look similar and also had KSD-110lc on the back of it. Will this part work? Thanks.
1 Answer Daniel, the magnetron thermal fuse for your model is part number [DE47-20007B]. We would not be able to guarantee that the one that you have would work as there are variances from manufacturer to manufacturer. Read More...
Bryan August 24, 2017 for Model Number Electrolux ei30bm60msa So when my wife was canning tomatoes and went to use the microwave it wouldn't work... The odd thing is if you press the key pad and hit start, it starts counting down just like normal just no interior light or fan and doesn't make noise just like a big fancy egg timer now? Any suggestions? I do have a fluke multimeter and i'm not afraid to use it.
1 Answer Hello Bryan. You will need to test all the door switches and see if one is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
