Denver Dave January 19, 2015 for Model Number GSD5152F01CC I have a GE dishwasher. Sometimes, but not every time, the unit does not drain after the final rinse. It drains OK during the initial rinse and wash cycles, but not at the end of the final cycle. Suggestions on what part might be the problem? I'm wondering if this is a symptom of the sequence switch. Thanks.
1 Answer Denver Dave, The most likely cause for the issue that you are having would be that the piston and nut assembly would be sticking and causing the no drain issue. The part number for the piston and nut assembly is WD24X10018. Read More...
Chuck April 15, 2014 for Model Number GSD5800G00WW After the first rinse, the unit stops running. If I hit the reset/start button, it will fill up and then drain, then stop. It will not complete a full cycle. If I start a whole new cycle, it will fill up, drain, and then stop with no light showing in any of the indicators. If the unit is not used for a few days, it may work, or it may not. Would replacing the sequence part solve this problem? Thanks. Chuck
1 Answer Chuck, The sequence switch is the most likely cause for the failure with the unit not advancing into the wash cycle. Read More...
Tom September 10, 2013 for Model Number GSD5930F00WW My dishwasher doesn't drain out water because the drain pump is not receiving an electrical current when it needs it during the cycle. I'm pretty sure the defective part is either the control board assembly or the sequence switch, but I don't know which controls the electrical current for the drain pump. Is there a way to test the parts? Or, can you just let me know which part I need.
1 Answer Hello Tom. You will need to replace the board WD21X10116 in the unit if the pump is getting no power and ther wiring is good. Read More...
Cliff September 15, 2012 for Model Number GE GSD5320D02BB The dishwasher does not drain in the wash cycles. When I set 'Rinse Only" and then hit Start and Reset it will drian. I have to do this twice to completely drain it. I am thinking this problem is related to the timer. There are no clogs in the dishwasher or drain hoses, etc. Should I replace the timer/sequence switch or is there other 'resets' that can be done?
1 Answer Hello Cliff. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the timer WD21X10101 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
John November 01, 2011 for Model Number GE EDW2050F01CC Dish Washer Dish washer was working ok yesterday. Went to run it this morning it is dead. Check electrical and it is not a fuse as I connected to another line in the house and it still doesn't work. When ever I normally shut the door on the dish washer I hear a indicator that the door is locked and ready to go. I don't hear that now and am guessing it is the switch. I cannot seem to locate the switch on your diagram. Can you tell which number it might be?
1 Answer Hello John. The sequence switch WD21X10101 is number 904 in the diagram. Here is a link to the diagram. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=208242&diagram_id=21851124 Read More...
Phil October 15, 2011 for Model Number GSD5320D02BB Diswasher does not drain at all when cycle is complete. Pump does not seem to turn on at all and this timer control seems to buzz. I have checked out electrical, clogs, etc. Is it safe to assume that this part needs replacement?
1 Answer Hi Phill. Remove power. Remove intake hose to pump, and drain hose at pump. Unclogg both ends. Remove debris' from inside of the pump impellor. Check the impellor to see if it does not spin loose on the shaft. Pump part # is WD19X10015. Thank You. Read More...
