Ronald June 28, 2023 for Model Number zgu36ksk1ss I recently had to change my glass cooktop. Now the front 2 burners will not ignite with the knob, but will light manually. I'm assuming it is one of four problems or a combination of them. 1) The Electrodes are bad, 2), the wiring to the electrodes are bad, 3) the Ignitor module is bad, and/or 4) the Spark ignition switch assembly is bad. How do I troubleshoot the electrodes? How do I troubleshoot the Ignitor module? and How do I troubleshoot the Spark Ignition Switch Assembly? Thanks, Ron
1 Answer Ronald, Check the ignition switches to make sure that they are connected properly and test them for continuity. If there is no continuity then this will be a faulty ignition switch. Read More...
Bob July 19, 2021 I have a GE 4-burner drop in gas cooktop. All igniters are clicking and will not stop! They started doing this while I was cooking. The only way to stop it was by turning off the breaker! What is the problem and how do I fix it?
1 Answer Bob, Test the ignition switches for continuity. If there is continuity on any of them when the burner knob is not turned to lite then the switch is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Denver January 30, 2021 for Model Number JGP328BEK1BB One burner does not ignite with the knob. It will ignite manually, and it will ignite if turned on when any other burner is sparking. Suspect the ingiter harness but want advice before ordering.
1 Answer Denver, as the burner switch will not activate the spark ignitor unless a different switch is turned on, the failure would certainly be in the switch harness WB18T10339. Read More...

Ed May 27, 2015 for Model Number 911.33213.101 Kenmore Elite Model: 911.33213.101 -1 burner wont ignite, but sparks when other burners are igniting. Hi, Some water spilled onto the cooktop and suspect some went into the knobs. One burner does not click (spark) but gas comes out and can be lit using match. The weird thing is that the non working burner will spark when I turn on the other 4 burners which ignite successfully. Can anyone give me anything to try before I start replacing parts and if I need replace the part does it seem like the spark module or something else?
