Todd October 09, 2017 for Model Number TFX26KPDAWW My water will not shut off. It works for the ice dispence though.
1 Answer Hello Todd. test for power to the water valve at all times. If there is power there, then the switch WR23X366 in the dispenser is bad. If there is no power there and the water does not turn off, you will need to replace the water valve WR57X10026. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kevin February 17, 2014 for Model Number GE tfx25jr There is a previous question on how to install this but it makes no sense and gives no accurate detail of where the spring fits into the chute actuator arm. I need a step by step on how to hook this spring up, where it connects to and how it stays in place. please help asap it is in my garage in pieces!
1 Answer Kevin, This answer is the most detailed answer that we can give as there are no specific written instructions from the manufacturer about installing the part. Look behind the removed fountain control board and looking straight at the chute flapper in the closed position. The spring part # WR2X8663 is on the lt. side. The straight end of the spring is in the up position and it holds the chute tension as it is pointed back up towards you. The square formed hook end is placed through the chute actuator arm part # WR17X3089. The chute actuator arm has a hole that the hooked end will go into. Then the small metal bracket and screw holds the left side as it pivots. Then the rt. side of the act. arm is placed through the solenoid plunger slotted upper area. Read More...
Garth September 13, 2012 Hello Again, I disassembled the fountain board and I see that the metal bracket, screw, AND spring are missing. I only see the part number for the spring NOT for the bracket and screw. How do I get them? The chute actuator arm appears to be in good shape.
1 Answer Hello Garth, If you could please post the model number, we can do our best to help you out. Read More...
