Kandy October 17, 2018 for Model Number DWSR463EG0WW How to change the temperature switch? is it plug and play?
1 Answer Kandy, Yes the switch is just plug and play and you would simply pull the knob off, remove the screws at the top of the control panel to remove the panel. Once removed you will take a photo of the wiring so you know the orientation or just take one off and put it onto the new switch one at a time. The old switch should either be screwed into the panel or you will rotate the switch to release it. Read More...
Bonnie September 05, 2013 for Model Number NWXR483EG3WW I need a diagram on how to install a new temperature switch. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Bonnie, Turn the power off to the unit and remove the three screws along the top of the control panel. This will enable you to flip the control panel off and access the switches. Pull the knob off and raise the locking tab and rotate the switch to remove. Now remove one wire and attach it to the new switch making sure the terminals are the same. Remove another wire and attach it to the new switch. Continue in this manner until all the wires have been transferred. Reassemble in the reverse order. Read More...
John February 05, 2012 for Model Number DWXR463EG7WW My Dryer has all funtions but wont produce Heat. The test for the Thermo switch checked out. Whats next?
1 Answer Hello John. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
