Biene July 29, 2020 for Model Number GDSS0KCXARSS My GE Refrigerator Model GDSS0KCXARSS is 10 years old and works just fine. Lately, I recognized that the refrigerator door, on the side where the handle is located, is dropping by 1/4 inch. How can I fix this? ....what parts do I need to order? Thanks in advance for your help.
1 Answer Biene, You will want to try to adjust the leveling of the unit to get the door back in line. If this does not correct the issue then you would want to loosen the hinge on top and lift the door and then tighten it down with it lifted. Read More...
Dan April 04, 2020 for Model Number PSC23SGNABS Does this thimble door bot fit in the top hinge socket and keeps the refrigerator door from slamming open? Thanks
1 Answer Dan, The thimble is what the hinge pin rides in but does not have anything to do with stopping the door. Read More...
Richard July 17, 2019 for Model Number Whirlpool Refrigerator GSF26C5EXB02 dual doors I need the cup like part that fits in the door where WP2182181 Thimble Top Part Number: EAP11739043 fits into. I think it has a foam bottom that fits into the door body and is sunk in it to allow the thimble to fit . it is about 2" Wide. Have I given you a good enough description on the part? My door does not shut right and the refrig sweats like crazy! Thanks for any help - I can take a picture but right now it is full of silicone--Rick
1 Answer Richard, from the information provided, the part that is needed is a part of the door assembly and is not available separately. For the freezer door, it is part number LW10334261 and the refrigerator door is part number LW10334306 for the black finish. Read More...
Dl April 06, 2019 for Model Number WR01X10232 Hi - Our refrigerator door slams open with no resistance and hits the wall. We replaced the door stop as the old one was broken, however, it didn't fix the problem. Now we are thinking that the thimble door bot is missing and we need a new one of those. However, would like to have a detailed picture of where it goes and guidance on how to replace it. Thank you!
1 Answer DL, We will need to have the model number of the unit but the thimble would simply go on the door hinge where it slides up into the door. Read More...
Terry August 25, 2018 for Model Number PSS26MSRASS We had our floors redone and ever since the contractor moved the refrigerator back the fresh food door squeaks when it is opened and closed. I'm not sure what part I need to replace to make it quiet again or is there some part that needs grease?
1 Answer Terry, At the bottom of the door there is a lever and spring that may be rubbing causing the squeaking noise. This would be the first thing to check since the unit had been pulled out and it could have come loose or is positioned wrong. Read More...
David September 07, 2016 for Model Number PSC23SGPASS Hi There, Both doors on PSC23SGPASS won't swing shut. I've adjusted the angle to tilt backwards. This can almost get fresh door to close on its own but not freezer. There's about an extra inch + showing at the base from the side. Is that bad by the way? It doesn't look too good. Would replacing the lower thimbles fix the problem? Unfortunately it doesn't have the cams I'm used to. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello David. It sounds like the springs WR1X2027 x2 or levers WR11X10009 WR11X10010 are bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...

Tracye January 18, 2013 My GE refrigerator door has a small plastic ring, black, that has broken and fallen in the floor. Part of it is where the hinge attaches to the bottom of door. This may have something to do with the door not staying closed. What is this part called and would it be hard for a lady to fix? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Tracye, It sounds like it may be the hinge cam that has broken but we would need to have model number to properly assist. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
