Fang F January 05, 2026 for Model Number GHDA486N10SS I need to replace the upper rack for GE GHDA486N10SS
Mary October 07, 2020 for Model Number GLD4560N00SS I need a new upper rack for my dishwasher and WD28X10399 appears to be the one I need. What are the dimensions of the rack? I'm concerned that if it is deeper, pans and glasses on the lower rack may be hit by the sprayer arm. Thank you in advance.
1 Answer Mary, while the manufacturer does not provide the exact measurements for the upper rack WD28X10399, using the 1" grid it looks to be about 8" tall, 20" wide, and 21" from front to back. Read More...
Patti Hunter April 07, 2020 for Model Number GLD4500N10BB GE sent part# WD28X10399 to replace my upper dishwasher rack. There were no instructions. It does not look like my old rack but looks like the rack you have in the video BUT it has four larger wheels on EACH side of the rack and no roller wheels like your rack shows in your video. No one at GE can tell me how to replace this new rack. If I take my roller wheels off of my old rack, I am not sure exactly where to put them on the new rack and also not sure the sprayer arm will clear the lower side (on the right side for taller glasses) of the new rack even though it appears to have enough clearance in your video. I guess I need to remove the four larger wheels from each side of the new rack and then put on the smaller roller wheels from my old rack? Can you tell me where to place the smaller roller wheels from the old rack on to the new rack? Do you think there will be enough clearance for the sprayer arm? Can you please advise me on both issues? Thank you!
1 Answer Patti H, I have verified that this is the replacement rack supplied by your manufacturer. If it requires you to change the wheels then place them in the same location on the rack as the ones you are removing. Based on the information supplied this rack may look different than the original but should operate as normal. Read More...

Rick P October 22, 2016 for Model Number GLD6500L00WW I just purchased replacement WD28X10399 (upper rack) for my dishwasher. please advise as to how to remove old rack and replace with new one.. thanks Rick
1 Answer Rick, On the rails of the upper rack there will be a stop, normally you will push inward toward the center of the dishwasher to get the tab to release and then just pull the stop out. The rack should be able to come out at this point. If it will not slide inward then there is a tab that you will pull the slide out slightly and push the tab and pull out on the stop. Read More...
James B. July 10, 2015 How do I change the sprayer attached to the bottom of my upper rack from the old rack to the new rack? Model GLD5900N00ww
1 Answer Hello James, The middle spray arm is held together by the screw WD02X10067 in the hub. Parts of it also snap together the same way as the original. 1. Pull upper rack all the way out. 2. Remove nut on bottom of mid arm. This will allow the mid arm and bearing to be removed. 3. To remove conduit, remove screw (some models) from hub. Press tab on side of mid bracket to release the hub and mid conduit. 4. To reinstall arm, reverse procedure. NOTE: Mid arm to be installed with spray jets facing the upper rack. Bearing to be placed between nut and bottom of mid arm. Read More...
