Dan June 09, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore Refrigerator 79579976900 Hi, My Kenmore Refrigerator 79579976900 had a large amount of ice build up in the freezer and the fridge was not getting cold. I cleared out all the ice and replaced the controller assembly. That seemed to work for about 6 months then it started to ice up again. I ordered a new controller assembly and replaced it but it is now accumulating ice once again. Any advice? Thanks Dan
1 Answer Hello Dan. It sounds like you have a defrost issue and will need to test all the parts associated with the defrost system. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
