This noise filter assembly conditions incoming AC power to reduce electromagnetic interference before it reaches the control system. A failed line filter can cause no power, intermittent shutdowns, or breaker trips; replacing restores stable, reliable operation. What it does:

  • Filters EMI/RFI on the power line to help protect sensitive control electronics
  • Helps prevent interference that can cause no power, flickering display, or random resets
  • A failing filter may trip a breaker/GFCI when the unit is plugged in or starts a cycle
  • Visual clues can include scorch marks, burnt odor, or a cracked/bulged filter body
What's included:
  • 1 noise filter assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; verify the outlet is de-energized
  • Access is typically near the power cord entry behind a rear/top panel (varies by model)
  • Label or photograph wire positions and transfer connections one by one; secure the ground
  • Mount firmly and route wires to avoid pinching; reassemble and test for proper operation
Also known as:
  • Line filter, EMI filter, RFI filter
