Based on symptoms it looked like the timer was not working. I did a web search to confirm this and found your web site. This was the motor control board (also called the speed control board, motor control unit, or MCU in various places across the web). The repair was straightforward, except for two complications. First the old part was difficult to access in this model washer (Frigidaire Gallery Series front load washer). The repair guy was going to charge me upwards of $225 to replace the timer in my washer, if in fact it was the timer. I decided with Christmas just a month away that there had to be a better way. After speaking with one repairman, and then searching on the internet, I found out the problem with my Kenmore washer was probably the timer. I searched online and found Appliance Parts Pros to have the best price and an instructional video on how to replace this part. I've never done any type of repairs on a washing machine and figured I would give it a try. My washer is approx. nine years old and in good condition, and either I would repair this on my own or buy another. After much reading on line regarding my problem. I decided to do any test that I could to try to diagnose and fix this myself if I could. This took a lot of time and patience to get the answers on how to go about this from "experts" as some of the info was contradictory. I was almost about to give up and buy a new washer with less electronic parts and buttons as advised by an honest appliance technician . We started getting the F06 code when on the normal cycle it was time to Rinse/Spin, pointing to a speed/tachometer issue on the motor. After several attempts of unplugging from power and restarting the cycle it would eventually start working for the rest of the laundry session. The Whirlpool technician after a brief look on the underside determined it was the motor and had to be replaced, even tough all troubleshooting tests on the motor were ok. I started by replacing the lid switch without the desired result. So I decided to replace the timer unit. It works like a new machine at the moment. At least on the first trial load. More loads will convince me that it is fixed for sure. I cannot be more complimentary about Appliance Parts Pros as I live very remotely in West Texas. Checked circuit breaker to d/w first. Good. Went to website to see no power issues. Most all of them mentioned the noise filter being the problem. Removed filter from machine and found the corner melted where fuse is located. Ordered new filter, installed, and now have power to switches. After unplugging the washer from the electrical outlet, the top of the washer was removed without a problem in order to allow easy access to the Central Control Unit (CCU) at the top of the back end of the washer. A cell phone was used to photograph the wiring layout and connectors plugged into the CCU, and then all connectors and the harness were carefully removed from the CCU without incident. On-line chat with AppliancePartsPros told me the error code was was for motor speed and they sent me a .pdf file on what to do to T/S it. Following the sheet I checked motor and Tack resistance and wiring - all OK, so I ordered a Motor Controller Ckt board assy. It arrived in 24 hours, during that time i watched the replacement videos and removed the old part. Ordered the timer. Amazed in arrived in less that 24 hours. Reviewed the video with instructions twice and removed the old timer and replaced with the new. Working fine now. Only problem encountered was the washer used in the repair video was somewhat difference from ours. Easy to adapt to it and could identify the differences. Read more

I had a beeping problem with my washer whereby it kept on beeping when I turned it on. After researching the issue online I saw that the control panel was the issue so I ordered a new one and installed it and voila!!! Problem solved!! It was an easy fix and the only hard part was lifting the dryer from the washer so as to replace the part. Read more
