1 Answer Cordell, I believe your unit uses a spring instead of a cable 4970ED4004D You can always uninstall the unit and pull it out 6 to 8 inches and visually check. If it does use a cable then the one you searched will work. Read More...

Wanda January 04, 2016 for Model Number 4933dd3001b Of the questions concerning HOW to install a new set of hinge cables None of the answers provided answered those questions! Where can I find illustrated INSTRUCTIONS for replacing the hinge cables. On the packing list recite it states that instructions can be found on THIS web cite. Please advise as to where I can find the instructions. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Wanda. Sorry, there is no illustrated instruction. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher from the cabinet. Once you pull out the dishwasher, you will see the cables on the side of the unit. You pull down on the spring and remove the cable. The hook the new cable to the spring first through the end of the cable with the hole and run the cable under the roller wheel up to the hinge and hook the slot end to the hinge. You will need to stretch the spring to hook it up to the unit. Reinstall the dishwasher into the cabinets. These are the only instructions we have at this time. Thank you. Read More...
Rachael September 30, 2015 for Model Number LDF6810ST Hello, it seems from my research on this wonderful site that my dishwasher door spring/cable broke. My door drops heavy if I don't support it. I would like to try to repair it myself. Do I need to order two assemblies, one for each side? And, someone referenced a video that shows how to do it. Could you give me the link to this video or the directions to how to access it? Thanks!!!!
1 Answer Rachael, Yes you would need to get 2 of the hinge cables for the unit. Unfortunately there is not a video for replacing, but you would need to pull the unit out and gain access to the sides of the unit. You will have access to the cables and they will just connect to the hinge on the door and to the spring on the unit. Read More...
