Joanne October 10, 2022 for Model Number LFX25960ST Hi there, Ice maker has stopped working on our refrigerator. Original part on the blue label on the part is 5989JB0001A I bought a AEQ36756919 locally and it did not line up on the mounting holes on the refrig and the pin connector also was wrong. Can you advise if you sell this part, the part number and the price? Thank you so much! JoAnne
1 Answer JOANNE, Based on the information provided the ice maker for your model is our part number AEQ36756901 Here is a link to the part and price... https://www.appliancepartspros.com/lg-ice-maker-assembly-aeq36756901-ap4442284.html Read More...
Marie September 25, 2022 I’ve installed the replacement ice maker and it’s making ice but not fast enough. Also, the arm hasn’t moved since I installed the part 4 days ago. I can see and feel ice cubes in the tray that aren’t being dumped even when the ice bucket is practically empty. Is the part defective? I don’t want to try to “adjust” the arm because instructions say never to do that. The arm is in the down position only. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Marie, The first thing to check is that the temperature at the ice maker is below 8°F. If the temp is not below 8°F then the ice maker will not start a cycle. Read More...
Ed August 09, 2022 for Model Number 795.77564600 What is the difference between AEQ36756901 and AEQ36756919 ice maker.
1 Answer Hello Ed, AEQ36756901 is a six-cube icemaker with a different connector than the AEQ36756919 five-cube icemaker. These cannot interchange with one another. Read More...
Mike May 29, 2022 for Model Number LMX28987ST My LG refrigerator stopped making ice. I replaced a new ice maker, a new filter, new inlet valve and it still can't make ice. Power is on, but the water in the ice tray is not cold enough to make ice. Water dispensing is good, and temperatures on the other compartment is good. Please advise me which parts need to be replaced. Thank you.
1 Answer Mike, it would be recommended that the freezer temperature is verified using a thermometer. If the freezer is not reaching a temperature of 0°F, it can stop the ice maker from properly making ice. If it is reaching proper temperature, the ice maker fan ABA72913403 in the freezer would need to be checked for proper operation along with inspecting the vents going to the ice maker section for any blocked openings. Inspecting the door gasket ADX72909701 on the ice maker door for an air leak would be necessary as well. Read More...
Bahs May 07, 2022 for Model Number LSC27931SB /05 I had a power issue on my street which sent a 220v to my house. My ice maker stopped working, everything else on the refrigerator/freezer works fine. The test button lights up but when I hold it nothing happens even though it will cycle through the various ice sizes when tapped, it doesn't do a test fill nor fills up on its own. Also, the dispenser flap opens when I push the dispenser but the motor to dispense does not move.
1 Answer BAHS, as the ice maker and the auger motor will not operate, the door switch would need to be tested for continuity when it is activated. If it has continuity, the main control EBR61439205 would be the most likely cause of failure based on the information provided. Read More...
Mike July 17, 2021 for Model Number LFX25960ST Water fill tube on ice maker seems to be repeatedly freezing. If the test cycle is run 2-3 times the fill line thaws enough to allow water flow. Line is frozen again by the time the ice is ready to be harvested and tray does not refill. Humming sound heard when fill valve is opened but no water flow until the fill tube thaws. Why does the fill tube keep freezing and how do I fix it?
1 Answer Mike, The most likely scenario for this issue is that the water valve is seeping. This would allow a trickle of water to bypass the valve and freeze in the ice tube. If you have the energy saver feature on then this can cause the heater to shut off for the fill tube and it will allow freezing. Read More...
Ernest July 10, 2021 for Model Number LFX2595SB Ice maker will not dispense water to ice maker. Has water to door. Checked valves, both have resistance reading of about 387 ohms. Water line not frozen at ice maker. ?????
1 Answer Ernest, unfortunately, the model provided appears to be a partial number. If the full model could be verified and provided in a new question, this may allow the most accurate information to be presented. Generally speaking, if the line is not frozen, the ice maker would need to be placed into a harvest mode and the water valve tested for voltage to identify if the valve is receiving the necessary power to operate. If it does and water does not enter the ice maker, the valve has failed. Read More...
Keith July 08, 2021 for Model Number LFX21960ST What is the part number for the icemaker to the LG model # LFX21960ST refrigerator? Is there a video showing how to install the replacement? Your video showing how to replace AP4442284 does not look like the one in my fridge. It also show it being replaced in a singel door fridge with a compartment front to it. My fridge is a french style two door with the ice compartment in the left hand door. I want to make certain I am getting the correct ice maker for my fridge. Keith
Madonna. December 17, 2020 for Model Number LFX21960ST Water leaking in ice maker, runs down and freezes up in the arm that controls cubes or crushed ice. Have turned it off to thaw out, works until it fills up and refreezes again, has frozen ice bin to the door. Makes ice fine.
1 Answer Hello Madonna, if the water enters/fills the ice maker mold with out spraying out but is leaking down through the ice maker itself then replace the ice maker AEQ36756901. Read More...
Ricardo December 04, 2020 for Model Number LMX25981ST My refrigerator stopped making ice or outputting water after a water hose was swapped in another part of my kitchen but the serviceman closed the wrong water valve and failed to tell me. The dispenser was used for almost a week until the ice was used up and I noticed the issue. Since then it won't fill up despite the water being correctly supplied to the refrigerator. The ice maker LED panel with the ice size is lighting up and the button correctly cycles through them though the ice maker still isn't filling up with water. I've attempted replacing the filter and keeping the water dispenser button pressed for 5 minutes to remove air but nothing has changed. Is there something else that might have failed besides the ice maker?
1 Answer Ricardo, with the valve operating dry, this could have potentially damaged the valve. If water is reaching the valve, and the correct voltage is supplied to the valve, and water does not flow from the solenoid out into a cup or pitcher when the tubing is disconnected the valve has failed. For the most accurate part information, the product code of this model would be necessary. Read More...
