The Ice Maker Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. As the main ice production component, it contains all the components needed to automatically mold, harvest, and store ice within the freezer compartment.

Causes of failure can be normal wear and tear of internal gears, wiring issues, or failure of the temperature control sensor. Mineral build-up may also affect performance over time.

Symptoms of a faulty ice maker assembly include:

  • Inability to produce ice or fill the ice tray
  • Erratic or intermittent ice production
  • Broken or dysfunctional ice cube release mechanism
  • Water pooling inside the freezer from the icemaker leaking

This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Sears/Kenmore models.
