Gary June 24, 2020 for Model Number LG icemaker part AEQ73110210 I removed the ice maker on my LG refrigerator which shows the part# AEQ73110210 on it. The picture shown for this model has totally different wiring connections, no green ground wire, and no blue wire with the white bulb on the end. ??? Can you help me?
1 Answer Gary, the green wire is the ground wire that connects to the auger motor and there should be a thermistor on the original assembly as well as it is used to detect the incoming temperature from the freezer. The thermistor with the blue wire is going to be accessed from the back of the entire assembly and is behind a foam insulation pad. Read More...
Kristi May 09, 2020 for Model Number Lg lmxs30776 I replaced this ice maker and it is not wort. When I try the test button, the unit does not fill or cycle.
1 Answer Kristi, You will want to test to see if there is power getting to the icemaker. If there is not then this would be a faulty control board. Read More...
David Green May 03, 2020 for Model Number 795.73055.411 I'm having troubles with my ice maker the last few months. One side gets stuck when turning to dump the ice and twists the tray. This jams the mechanism. I've managed to un stick it with a screwdrivers and it works for a few days and then twists itself again. Unless there's a good fix...I guess I should buy a replacement? what is the proper ice maker model number for my refrigerator model, because I see more than one that looks similar. It's a Kenmore Elite Model 795.73055.411
1 Answer David, The part number for the icemaker kit on your unit will be GD72-40610A and the icemaker would be the issue if it is getting stuck in the flex position. Read More...
Richard April 15, 2020 for Model Number LMXS27626S /01 Ice maker not working. Making ice but will not dump unless I manually cycle it. The replacement assembly I see does not appear to match relative to the wiring connections. My current part has a 3x2 6 pin connector and a flat 8 pin connector.. thanks
1 Answer Richard, the air temperature reaching the ice maker will need to be checked to ensure it is reaching 1°F or colder. If not, the freezer temperature will need to be checked to ensure that it is reaching the proper temperature. If the temperatures are good, then the next step would be to replace the ice maker. However, while the manufacturer lists the ice maker AEQ73110210 for your model, it would be recommended that the part number on the original ice maker is used to identify the replacement part. Donald Min March 30, 2020 for Model Number 795.7249 I'm trying to purchase a new ice maker for this model, but am not sure if this part is compatible for my model. If you have any information please let me know.
Tom March 18, 2020 for Model Number LMXC23746S/00 My ice maker is not getting water. I’ve replaced both the main water inlet valve and the secondary water valve with no improvement. I ran the ice maker through a test and got no voltage to the secondary valve during the end when it should be calling for water. The primary valve hums at the end of the test when it should be asking for water. All the other processes of the ice maker seem to be working normally. The lines are not frozen as I can run air through them. The water dispenser is still working fine and I got 120v to it when calling for water. Is this part, the actual ice maker itself, what puts out the call to dispense water into the ice tray? Is there anything else I should be checking?
1 Answer Tom, With the unit not getting power to the water valve, this would most likely be an issue with the icemaker that will need to be replaced. Read More...
Crinta January 27, 2020 for Model Number AEQ73110210 Is there a difference between AEQ73110210 and AEQ73110205? I ordered the AEQ73110205, as I did not remove it prior to ordering? Will an AEQ73110205 work?
1 Answer Crinta, there is a wiring difference between the two ice makers that will make them unable to cross over. As the original ice maker is part number AEQ73110210, that is what would be needed. Read More...
Dennis January 11, 2020 for Model Number 79570329311 Our ice maker runs a little water over the edge when filling the ice tray. Eventually we get chunks of ice below the ice bucket that become a problem. Other than that, the ice maker works properly. Should I order a new one or is there some other solution?
1 Answer Dennis, the valve MJX41869202 can be tested for voltage to identify if it stops sending water when the voltage supply stops. If the water continues to fill after the voltage has stopped, then the valve would need to be replaced as it has become unable to close properly. If it does stop, then the most likely failure would indeed be the icemaker AEQ73110210. Read More...
