Jacob December 16, 2021 for Model Number AEQ73110210 I currently have a Kenmore refrigerator with ice maker model number AEQ73110208. This product is discontinued and the model AEQ73110210 replaced it. I noticed that the connectors are different. The old model went from 2 connectors, a 6 pin square and a 8 pin flat. To the new model, a 3 pin and a 20 pin. How do I re-wire these connectors? or is there a ice maker model AEQ73110210 that has the old connectors (6 pin square and 8 pin flat)?? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Refrigerator model # 795.70323.310 Is there any videos or information that would be useful on where to place these wires in the new connectors or what order they need to be in?
1 Answer Jacob, the wire connections in the motor module are attached with plastic connectors that would only fit in specific placements. Unfortunately, there is not a video available at this time to assist with this. Read More...

1 Answer Jacob, if the model number of the refrigerator could be provided in a new question, this will allow the most accurate information to be presented. In regards to the wire harness, the motor module on an ice maker can be removed by taking out the screws located on the backside. This will allow the module to be opened where the full harness can be exposed. Read More...
Julie September 22, 2021 for Model Number LMXS30776S/04 Hi - I posted my original question below. I removed the new ice maker and reinstalled the original one. I was able to at least get a response out of the original one. It still behaves the same as my original comment. However, I did notice that the new ice maker part sent to me has part number AEQ73110210 and the ORIGINAL ice maker part has AEQ73110201 as the part number. Can you advise if I need to send back this ice maker and have the AEQ73110201 part number sent? The new part will not do anything installed. Previous conversation: The original ice maker in the unit was making ice but not dumping. It tested fine, but would not dump ice after it froze. Troubleshooting told me the circuit board/control board was likely bad and a new ice maker should be installed. I purchased the replacement ice maker from Appliance Pro and installed according to your video. The ice maker doesn’t function at all. I cannot get it to test or anything. I have repeated the steps to install 4 times (thinking I did something wrong) with no luck. What advice can you offer? Thanks for your time. Julie Julie for Model Number LMXS30776S/04 ANSWER Julie, it would be recommended that the part number of the original ice maker is checked to ensure it is the same as the new ice maker. From there, it would be recommended that the wiring is checked to ensure that everything is secured fully and that the on switch is pressed to the left. In regards to the ice maker not dumping ice, it would be recommended that the temperature of the freezer is verified with a thermometer as the ice maker will not harvest at a temperature above 0°F.
1 Answer Hello Julie, the 2 ice makers are different, your model shows AEQ73110201 as the correct ice maker, please call our Customer Service at 1-877-477-7278 to arrange the exchange. Read More...

Jon July 10, 2021 for Model Number Kenmore Elite 795.72483.411 My aeq73110210 ice maker stopped dumping ice. The water would fill, the ice would freeze, but not dump automatically into the bin. When I use the reset button, the ice would dump and the water would refill and freeze, but again would not dump automatically. I replaced the ice maker with a brand new unit, but the problem stayed the same. I am thinking it might be related to the thermostat, but I thought that was part of the assembly i replaced (white capsule like piece attached to the blue wire like in your video). Can you think of what the problem is?
1 Answer Jon, it would be recommended that the temperature at the ice maker is checked as the ice maker will not harvest until the temperature reaches 0°F. Warmer temperatures could be caused by the ice maker fan ABA72913426 having a partial ice block around it, causing improper air flow. Read More...
Tony March 30, 2021 for Model Number LFX25974ST/04 ice maker stopped making ice, the water dispnser is working well What could it be? I need to replace the water filter, where would i buy it?
1 Answer Hello Tony, the water filter is part ADQ72910911, as far as the ice maker, check that is turned on, nothing is blocking the lower portion of the ice maker where the ice bin level is checked, check the ice maker area for temperature it should be around 0-5 deg, it is cooled by freezer air flow by a blower motor in the freezer just for the ice maker, there is a manual cycle button under the front of the ice maker to make the ice maker run a harvest/fill cycle, hold it in for about 3 sec. Willis Crouch January 30, 2021 for Model Number LMXS530776S/03 Lately a small amount of water appears to be dripping in small amounts from the ice maker into the ice bin, causing the cubes to clump, on the right side and under the bin causing an accumulation of ice in the compartment. The clump in the bin jams up the auger to the dispenser. At this point I can't seem to find the source for the water leak with out a disassembly. Does it sound like the ice maker needs to be replaced or could it be another problem. Is the replacement part # AP5949294?
1 Answer Willis C, Based on the information provided the ice maker for your model is AEQ73110210 Read More...
Mervyn Brown November 19, 2020 for Model Number 7957332410 I change the ice maker but, the water is not filling the ice tray.after following the installation instruction.
1 Answer Mervyn, There is a test button on the side or bottom of the head of the icemaker. Push and hold this until the fingers start moving. At this point, you will then check to see if it fills with water. If the unit is not filling with water and the ice maker has been replaced then this will most likely be a faulty water valve that is located in the left side door of the refrigerator behind the lower shelf.
