2 Answers Hello Paul, You will need to order two 6912W3H001F for the surface lights on the model number you listed. Be sure to only handle the bulbs with a paper towel, (do not touch the bulbs with you skin since the oil from your skin will cause premature failure of this style bulbs. Also, be sure to turn power off to the unit before installing the light to prevent damage to the board. Read More...
R.J. January 13, 2015 for Model Number LG Microwave Model #LMV2053SB Hi and thanks for any help you may offer. I just need to know what the part number and manufacturer of the halogen lamp is that fits below the microwave to light up the stove top. I didn't have a lamp to use to compare it with what I purchased. I noticed the lamp is not matching the holes and will break with little force when attempting to install it. There is a high and low setting so I assume it to be double filament. The model number of the (above range) microwave is LMV2053SB and the brand is LG. I removed the lens cover and pulled out the aluminum mounting bracket and then disconected the wire to be able to install the lamp easier. Probably didn't have to go to that extreme but needed to be able to install the lamp without any further problem. The aluminum mounting is a bit tricky getting back in securely. Any hints on that.?....Thanks
1 Answer Hello R.J. Based on the information you provided, the correct lamp is part number 6912A40002E. As for the shield. there really is no tips on installing it into the unit. It's not suppose to fit tight, it should have some play in it. Read More...
Rod R October 22, 2014 for Model Number LMVM2075ST My halogen bulbs for the cooktop and nightlight stopped working in the nightlight position but still work in the cooktop position. There appears to be only one filament in the bulb which makes me think the bulbs are still good. Any suggestion? Socket?
1 Answer Hello Rod. The best thing to do is to test for power to the bulb. If there is power there, and it does not work, the bulb is bad. If there is no power there, you may have a bad board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

1 Answer Richard, You should look for a wire that is loose or damage and make sure that the bulbs are indeed still good. If all checks ok then you would most likely want to replace the holder. Read More...
Lee December 11, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore not sure of model number I have a Kenmore rangetop combo microwave that has a cooktop light of the 2 prong variety that appears to be a model number of 6912A400002E. This appears to be a halogen bulb. My question is does anyone make an LED bulb with this same electrical configuration? I'm looking for a bulb that has a higher color temperature than what I have existing. All the lighting in my kitchen has been changed to 5000K color temp or higher. Thanks.
