After extremely poor support from WhirlpooI and researching numerous U-Tube videos, I fully troubleshot potential failed components and connections. Removed light cover. oven was above range type and light assbly is at rear bottom of unit. access and visibility of bulb sockets a bit difficult, Usen hand hell mirror to assist . Bulb extraction and insertion a snap. Read more

Ordered two new bulbs and replaced them. The lights have two settings and only one bulb was working on the dimmest setting. The repair was easy. The new lights are so bright and arrived quickly. I will definitely order again. Read more

I recently tackled a repair on my GE microwave (model JVM1440BD003, manufactured in 2003) to replace the light bulb sockets for the under-microwave lights. Unplugged the microwave & took needle nose pliers to gently twist the metal part out of the socket after removing the glass cover for the light. Gently twisted the new bulb into the socket. Read more

The replacement lamp fit perfectly. I had tried other replacement lamps from the hardware store but wasn't able to find one that would fit. The lamp socket on the microwave was slightly smaller than a standard bulb. Read more

It wasn't easy because this microwave over-the-stove light was difficult to find at a reasonable price. However, I did find one at AppliancePartsPros.com. Since the price was so reasonable, I bought 4 bulbs plus an interior light bulb and paid the same shipping price for all. Everything works great. Read more

Added an additional light socket to the existing reflector. Changed the original 40 watt incandescent bulb to two 5 watt LED bulbs. It's actually bright enough for my old eyes now. Read more

Our microwave is mounted over the range, and has dual lights underneath that light up the range. A while back in trying to replace burned out bulbs, one of the bulbs broke and in trying to remove the rest of the bulb from the socket, I accidentally destroyed the socket. I took the bottom of the microwave off and removed the old holder. I then matched it to the correct part by model number and serial number. Then I installed the new part. Read more

I bought the Housing-lmp, but when I got it at first I didn't think it was the right part because it didn't have the ceramic piece that it goes into. I didn't know that the ceramic piece slid over the housing. After one day of thinking about it I finally realized what I was looking at and put the new piece into the old ceramic piece. Read more

Pretty easy fix. Took out 7-8 screws to remove cover for access to light. 2 were security type screws so I had to run to the hardware store to buy a special screwdriver. One screw to remove the bulb. Read more
