Gena August 27, 2019 for Model Number LMVM2055ST Looking for a non halogen cooktop light. Currently I am using a halogen bulb which melts the cover over the light. If I leave the light on too long....the cover gets extremely hot and starts to melt. Microwave is 12 years old and works great....just seem to have problem with the cooktop lights. Thanks in advance for the help!
1 Answer Gena, Unfortunately, we would not have any information on an LED light that would work for this unit. Read More...
Tom July 17, 2019 for Model Number LMV2031BD When you use the cooktop light under the microwave , the temperature reaches 150* on the inside bottom of the microwave. LG says that is normal. We never had that problem on our old GE microwave. Seems like a possible fire hazard. Is there any insulation that could be installed to reduce the heat from the halogen bulb?
1 Answer Hello Tom, if you have checked with the manufacturer and they responded its normal operation then it is. Keep in mind halogen bulbs do operate at a higher temperature then normal incandescent bulbs, that is why they are able to give the color rendition they do. As a suggestion you can remove the halogen bulb and take it to a local store and see if you can find the same type bulb in a lower wattage. Read More...
Rita April 09, 2019 for Model Number LG MIcrowave Oven #LCRT2010 When you put in the time to cook something, you can't see anything, so we don't have any idea if we put the right time in or how long it has left to cook.
1 Answer Rita, for the display to not be working, but the rest of the unit will, then the most likely cause is going to be the led display from the control [EBR73927306] not operating the way it is supposed to. Read More...
